They have fixed many of the crashes and server uptime is much better as of late.

The game is not much different to Ark: Survival Evolved and it wasn't meant to be. It's a graphics overhaul with a few quality of life improvements but the gameplay loop and many of the core gameplay mechanics are identical.

There is a TON of content and is one of the very few survival games out there that can be played both PvPvE or just PvE and still provide more than enough for you to do. Hundreds of dinos to tame, caves to explore and bosses to fight. I'd recommend PvE or playing with friends to be honest, though - PvP servers are rife with cheaters.
