QUAKE

Amazing game

Are you patient? Do you like hard challenges with huge payoff (of emotional relief) on success? Do you hate yourself and want to be punished? Then this game is for you!

Fun game, cool concepts, interesting tech tree, upgrades to most aspects of the game are available, satisfying crafting, scary enemies but not too scary, and nice story.

I love it, but I can’t finish it because it crashes at the start of argent transfer station (last level I believe).
The screen/level starts to load, looks laggy, then I’m dropped back in steam VR home.

I reinstalled the GPU drivers and clean uninstalled with some tool that was recommended. Then I tried it on a new windows install. Then I doubled RAM to 32GB and swapped my GTX 1070 for an RTX 2080. I dropped the settings to minimum and replayed from the start of the previous level but no change.

This is apparently happening to a lot of others.
I’d love to give this a positive review, but if I can’t even complete the game, I can’t do that.

I put over 400hrs into this and probably more, a glitch reset a lot of people’s played time data including mine.

Runs like ♥♥♥♥ in VR. I tried so hard to make this my favourite game with a ton of mods and ini file settings. It was too glitchy and periods of terrible framerates. I had about 500 hours in Skyrim Vanilla already but everyone was saying it’s a better game so I grabbed it on sale. I’ve put over 120 hours into Skyrim VR and only 24 IIRC into Fallout 4 VR.

Best of the series.

Only played this in VR. I won’t be going back to PC1, this is the superior game for VR.
