Bewitched by these Sinners!
I am glad this was gifted to me and its an incredible experience. Most of the time visual novels bore you with the repetition but this one has many interesting side quests, endings and handful of memorable characters. Do you want to be bewitched by the handsome and sinful sinners? Then I think buying this one would be worth the money. It's also LGBTQ friendly.

Story: Erotic and Fantasy
This is dimension traveling story with a protagonist who is forced to go to a parallel dimensional magic academy full of witches, werewolves, fairies, sirens and an angry stag librarian who will kill you if you mess his books. This story has so many hidden Easter eggs within itself and micro events that affect the entire story that I was amazed how much work is put into it. Loved the doppelganger version of one self being different also. There are 4 very powerful witches you need to defeat to revive your unconscious version of yourself, and its a bit of plot hole why you a student has to do this with your student friends when there are more powerful people against these ancient witches. The story can be a bit dark and have dark erotic NSFW themes. The endings are for the 4 witches bad endings with one single truth ending where I will have to go to reddit to find the meaning of.

Characters: Interesting
Interesting characterization with good character development for all characters. I did like the main character Palmier, she is witty, talented and beautiful. Tough main character, not a softie and definitely not shy to romance. The 3 boys are also very fun to be with, their jokes are good, the vibe is all good. Teamwork is dream work definitely because their journey in taking down the ancient witches is a bumpy one. We have Quill, a beautiful boy with a prestigious background, Arshem, the obsessed one who has a harsh past and Thane, a sweet puppy dog vampire with mommy issues. You have the teachers also who have some dark twists to them, I did like the teach who did Potions, she seems to be the only normal one. But definitely the one selling questionable items was hilarious.

Gameplay: WOW!
You can choose to play as a male main chara of a female main chara where the dateable characters don't change. So its very LGBTQ friendly. This is what i expect in a visual novel above from 2020, the mini quests are so fun to do. There is fishing (aka quickest way to bring money), shops are there buy stuff, potions can be crafted and delivered, lot of NPC's to talk to and the conversations for each of these gazillion NPC's changes each two days or so. I absolutely adored how you can craft items and then use it in the fights also as an option. Getting some character routes were super easy but Thane's was a bit difficult.
It took me several tries. There is also a diary where you must type passwords to unlock diary entries. So there are some neat features in the game, it's super creative.

Art and Music
Music is good, nothing super good. Loved IO's character theme. Art is something I adored, it's well polished, also had some comic strip manga moments for the intro. Palmier is drawn beautiful the female one. The male one is also amazingly drawn. Did hear someone saying that the male main chara had more CG's than the female one not sure. I didn't proceed the male route because of repetitiveness.

Achievements: Easy Peasy
Each achievement for the bad endings with 4 witches and one for the truth ending. For the truth ending, you need to do specific steps which can be found in a guide also made by the dev. But I must say the guide is not super comprehensive but then considering how vast the universe can be its understandable. I tried to get the boy's routes by myself and lost track of time.

Overall
I think its a VN that did not end fast, you can replay it several times without getting bored, great replay value and worth the money for the Art and story. A must have for every Otome fan.

A very Illuminating Detective Game
LumineNight is an underrated hidden gem which I found because my bf bought this for me. So this review is dedicated to him :D. This is a mystery/thriller detective game with horror serial killer elements, desgined exclusively to keep you on your toes in a chilly or rainy night.

Story: Very Interesting!
You follow Kelvin Foster who is a prestigious accomplished detective with his side kick William. Immediately you are introduced to a murder scene and a tutorial to proceed case after another trying to catch a mysterious serial killer. There are time accelerations in the story, 10 years and back. You can play as Kelvin and his daughter. The story I thought would become a mediocre one but honestly at the end it got super interesting. But I wonder if it was spoiled by too many plot twists at the end. But it's definitely grabbing your attention for the anticipation on what to come next.

Characters: Tragic
I say its tragic, but it also looks into the BG's of people who are working in the forces and what type of sacrifices they have to make to fight for people's lives. I think this daughter and dad bond is a nice representation of that.
For the daughter: Selene, yes there is some character development from childhood to teenager. You have her assistant also who is a mysterious figure with different motives. You have a variety of characters, but most revolve around police and few side characters who contribute to the story. The serial killer itself is very mysterious. I felt the story BG's of each character was very well written and executed, except at the secret character at the end.

Gameplay: Puzzling
You can play as two characters: Kelvin and Selene.
Dam, the puzzles in this game is a bit hardcore, you can engage your brain cells for hours to understand mechanics behind some puzzles, i found that the clover puzzle held no meaning that much to me at all. The game gives hints but sometimes that won't suffice. There is no translated english guide for the game, so good luck. There is an interesting note board in the game which crashes the whole game, so dont use it. There is also stealth hide and seek type of scenarios simillar to Koma recut, they are a bit tough but not impossible. I did love exploring the town and such simillar to Tokyo Dark.

Art and Music
There were times where some music I felt was a bit overpowering the game, there were some tracks which were super nice and calming, i prefer those when yanking my brain cells. I loved the art, it was polished and nice. Story is sometimes told in comic book strips style and its nice.

Achievements: Simple
Very simple to get, just end the game and you get all of them.

Overall
I felt that it was a neat little underrated gem which is a good one for the genre, i thought the climax was interesting. If you are a fan of the genre its a must play definitely. But the hardcore puzzles might wear you or make you give up.

Brew Your Way Into Their Problems!
This is a coffee simulator / visual novel set in a futuristic fantasy world where space travel is possible.
You not only co-exist with humans but other species from your wildest dreams: orcs, elves, succubi and aliens.
So brew a coffee (or tea), chill and listen to your customer's hilarious and sometimes serious stories.

Story: Chill but serious
This is a visual novel but the story is linear where you can unlock branch stories without deviating from the original one. In a way this is great because you don't have to traverse tooth and tail replaying the game all over to see story endings for a character. To unlock the stories do note you need to serve the appropriate correct coffee to the customer. The narratives of the characters I feel like is loosely what you see in the real world we live, sometimes I felt like this small coffee story can teach a lot of life lessons to people. But the real mystery is regarding not with your customer's stories but it is involves something close and personal to you. So the story can be light hearted but also will put some of the serious topics at your face at times.

Characters: Laid Back
Coffee talk is a chill game so are the characters, there aren't many drama. The main chara is mysterious but he is really a good barista, his skills in talking with customers and tending to them are pretty good. The most notable other characters I liked is the vampire, who is cold and aloof but he sprouts the truth. Neil the alien is hilarious and this is what you can really expect a friendly alien coming to earth lol. Others are okay, not really memorable to me but they have their own personalities.

Gameplay: Coffee simulator
You have your phone which I liked, you can check news at the end of each day and you can check phone to change music, check the customer fb profiles, read stories published by the writer girl and check your coffee recipies. There are dozens of recipies and unlocking them were honestly fun, you can also do Latte art which is a neat feature. You don't really have an option to choose choices, the story lines you want will get unlocked if you give the appropriate correct coffee to the customer. You need to pay attention though, the ingredients have to be put in a relatively annoying order sometimes to brew the right coffee! You also have an extra menu which showcases art and some stuff. You also have the free mode and the challenge mode, in the challenge mode you have a time limit and you must serve the right coffee which the customer requests. The time limit is relatively a minute or two and really challenges you because some of these orders can be tough. Just so you know it's not only coffee, but you can brew tea, milk, and green tea. Some of the recipes are based in real life, it's interesting to see a wide array of different ones around the globe.

Art and Music
Art is okay, I think it fits the purpose. Some of the music are very nice and suits the mood.

Achievements: Bugged
Most of the achievements are straight forward and easy to get, others are more difficult especially in the challege mode where you have to serve 50 coffees, it's okay you get a few mistakes but you must reach the 50 without hitting the time limit. There are a few cheat sheets compiled by players which can help you with this one but you have to either memorize the particular type of coffee or you have to look at the cheat sheet continuously. It's no joke and can be difficult but not impossible. There is an achievement where you have to draw latte art for an hour but that never unlocked for me, neither in free mode or the story mode and it did waste my two hours lol I noticed it unlocked for some people but not for others. Guess the game is picky.

Overall
It's a very chill laid back coffee making game where you can have fun unlocking new recipes, meeting fun and interesting characters and see their reactions to the excellent coffee/tea/milk you brew and also brewing your way to their personal lives and give some advice why don't you. I also do see there is a lot of DEI in the credits, a nice combo for a good visual novel.

Forgetting is Convenient, Remembering is Agonizing!

Quote straight from the game by our wonderful catto: Cheshire.

Welcome to this comprehensive review of a game I liked so much that I ended up researching heavily about it.
This is a hack and slash game with 3D platformer elements. It is a gothic old age British dark fantasy story inspired from Lewis Carrol's epic classic: Alice in Wonderland. This is a twist from the main story which heavily talks about PTSD, SA and other disturbing themes. It is also heavily psychological and not for the most faint at heart. It took me 20 hours to reach 88% game completion, and it's still not done lmao.

Story: Beautifully dark
I thought the story was a great weaving of the original fairy tale. I was never a fan of AIW it did not make sense to me. But I made sense of this one. Whole story is navigating through Alice's hallucinations after a traumatic experience she had which she calls the Wonderland. It's her escapade. Sometimes children when exposed to heavy trauma relies on fantasies and drawings to cope. Adults use fantasies as well. Alice's childhood was happy at first but it went to hell when she lost her family, now she traverses through her memory pieces because she is very certain that the cause of death is not what seems. The story is half in the fantasy world and half in real world which is refreshing and a creative narrative. The story is linear but with plot twists that I certainly did not expect in the ending. idk how many chapters i played but it is never enough for me.

Characterization: Well Thought and Tragic
Alice's characterization is a portrayal of the own dev's tough childhood which I did read about it and it's a tragic tale. I heard that each enemy is a portrayal of Alice's emotions being manifested, there are very good youtube videos about this. The main characters even in Wonderland have strong meanings behind them. I liked Alice's character she is a tough girl, I admire her resilience. Some characters are meaningful and has comedic twists to their personality. Cheshire itself is very dark one but still helpful to Alice. The real world ones are more tragic and weird. Maybe that's why she escapes to a fantasy, she is alone and have nobody to trust. Her doctor is someone she can confide in and is kind to her, but everyone looks suspicious.

Gameplay: OMG satisfying!
Gameplay is fun, not hard when you get all the weapons. Alice acquires a ton of items to use against enemies. The enemies are tough not elden ring level but can be tough when you dont have some essential weapons on your first run. All are very creatively inspired from the fairytale. Sometimes yes the game crashes a lot because of Physx issues and clashing with new Nvidia drivers. For me lowering the resolution reduced the crashes for me. There are a lot of secrets in the game where you jump from platforms, shoot pig snouts and destroy picnic baskets. You have a ton of mini games too, like old school sliding puzzles, QTC based ones to play music etc. You can shrink alice which is a neat feature. I loved the weapons in this game, my favorite is hobby horse and pepper grinder. You have a lot of collectibles like bottles, memories etc which are hidden in some unique platformer like puzzles, it gets more fun and challenging in the last few chapters and was fun to do. Do not that you can use her umbrella to block many attacks and you have to always go into the character lock mode. Downsides are that the game is a bit hard to play with a keyboard, i think a controller would suit it the best. Its sometimes pressing three keys at once. The final boss can be tough but not difficult especially if you have 20 hours in the game as I do (I was trying to get every secret as possible without a guide)

Art and music: Masterpiece
This game is a literature masterpiece, you can see from the level designs and puzzles how creative this game is. The art is beautifully gothic, her dresses and her weapons, everything. The cutscenes look so unique. The voice acting is amazing. I saw in a youtube comment how someone said that Cheshire's voice is so calming. I like Alice's voice too. Most of the dialogue's are riddles and very cryptic. I thought its creative and alligns closely with the original fairy tale.
Art wise this game looks like it was made in 2020 than 2011, i could be wrong of course. I saw in the credits that there are a lot of teams involved, all around the globe in fact to make this masterpiece so kudos to their hard work.

Cool Mods
Yes the game can be modded and you can change Alice's dresses and skins of her weapons.
There are over 100 dresses you can make her wear, some of the designs looked really cool.
There are neat little guides to tweak FPS also, checkout the steam guide section for this game.

Alice Asylum
The third installment for this wonderful series was pushed forward by American Mcgee but was rejected by EA and I know fans are dying for the third one, I do too. There is a fan project going on by Anri Gveras using Unreal Engine 5, please checkout her twitter and youtube to support this. (search name) If this is successful she/he/they will let EA the assets so they can make the third installment. I had a look at it and so far the progress is going good. The fan project is based on the art book made by American Mcgee for the third installment.

Do you like bunny plushies lol
The dev of the game has their own plushie store which he manages with his wife. It has some interesting items in the gothic horror categories mostly bunnies. It is called "Plushie Dredfuls/ plushiedreadfuls.com" I like the mental disorder plushies, this is creative. Please do know that Mcgee has retired from game making and well does not like fans asking the same question about Alice Asylum :D

Mystery within a Mystery Box
If you are wondering to play the prequel to the game you can edit around the game files and unlock this. It was initally sold back in 2000's via CD's but later they distributed it free but you can fiddle around with this using a steam guide.

Overall
Thank you so much for all the creators who contributed to this masterpiece, I was going through a tough time in May and it helped me cope with it so much. I feel sad this game is over, but I know that I can still hunt for the rest of the collectibles wearing a cool different dress each time :D

Can You Help With Math?
The amount of times I got this call is numerous.
Welcome to 911 operator where you take the role of a 911 dispatcher, this is a neat game where you have to manage your first responder resources, analyze calls, dispatch units and earn an income.

When you start the game you are greeted with a loud siren noise which I don't think it's necessary. Then you are bombarded with a lot of first aid tips, since I worked in health and safety I can tell some of them are very legit but some needs tweaking. Then a tutorial is given on how to play the game, it's not complicated but when you go through the difficulties you notice this is the most hardest game you can ever play. This is also a game where you can learn something useful and MIGHT save a life if you remember the instructions :)

Gameplay: Buggy
There are several modes you can play up to your tastes, i recommend single city run for the easiness. You get several cities that you can start from and the easiest would be given to you first. You can also download any city you want and play which is a neat feature. You get calls and you must answer and respond appropriately. correct actions will raise your reputation points and reacting to incidents faster will make your efficiency percentage increase. You can fast forward time for your like, but you need to keep in mind things could be hectic in expert mode. When I was doing the single city run in the Washington DC yes the game glitched at least twice and i was very scared because i did not want to loose the achievement. Time stopped moving forward and the units were not completing tasks, i waited and tried stuff but that caused me to accumulate over 40K -debt because of overtime, in the end I had to restart game/chapter :( When you answer calls you get to choose options, you get incidents which you can ignore so you need to manage your resources wisely. I loved the unique scenarios they have put like the bomb threats and the earthquakes. The devs have attempted to make the game close to reality as soon as possible.

Voice acting
I listened to probably all the calls for nearly 30 hours I would say the 911 dispatcher was voice well and so does the other callers. But you tend to get bored of it, but the neat part is there are so many options and branches. The call for the math problem I heard is an actual call/inspired? from an incident report to 911.

Achievements
This is one of the hardest games to take achievements, especially getting the expert mode. Please note none of the achievements are glitched even though the gameplay is buggy. they are just hard to get. To get the achievement above and beyond you need to do "Unique stories" in career mode in expert. My main tip is don't play it in 2x speed play it in 1x so you get time to think. it's slow but this really helped. Secondly medal of valor is achieveable but I did not achieve it in "Free mode" I went to single city run under the career mode and resetted Washington DC and tried it in "normal" difficulty. You will notice the progress bar also seemed not moving forward but thats the glitch, its still being monitored even though it doesn't show you.

Overall
Genius idea of making a game about one of the hardest and stressful jobs in the world, and showcasing how it can be playable as a game which can be fun, hard and satisfying at the same time. I do wish the game would be less buggy and there are more different calls.

This Underrated Medieval Korean Gem!
Im actually writing this review to get the emotions off my chest, because I feel so so sad that this visual novel is over because it's actually short but fantastic. Hands down one of the best one's I have ever read incoperating Korean medieval mythology, culture into the mix and presenting a wonderful murder-mystery case. You follow the journey of a recently graduated officer named Yuri back to his old hometown which is quiet and peaceful in the countryside, little did he know that his world will turn upside down in the next few days.

Story: Atmospheric, cultural and immersive
This is a very interesting story and setting, idk much about korean history and culture even though I have watched some cultural medieval dramas. The game really challenges with an index to learn korean terms so there is a huge historical value to this title. The story goes from very peaceful to a bit haunting and horror themes which I did not expect it to happen this fast. There is branching onto the story and several endings which you will see has a strange twist to it into the end. I can't give away much since the devs ask to keep the secrets of the VN a secret itself, so I will have to respect that. Mystery story telling done in the finest, I notice how the writing is super logical and it gives attention to very small details. It sounds like this is a very thought out story. Amidst the horror there are some romantic elements to the story even though its not strong. The story has a lot of plot twists in a different direction.

Characters: You get quickly attached
Absolute fantastic characterization; starting from the main character to the side characters. There is only a few but you don't even notice that. From main character's POV you can feel the emotions, panic, loss and confusion to the events that are beginning to unfold. His friends, soo ah and yun bok, you feel right at home with them as well as the other noble figures (there is a handful). But it really explores the tough lives of not only poor people but the nobles as well which is actually a well balanced picture. There are secret characters of course, and some other less important ones which actually contributes a lot to the story.

Gameplay: Creative!
When I expect a VN in above 2020 this is what I expect. I had a good feeling when the story gave an introduction about a flow chart and an index. There is no big need to save in the game because the story is surprisingly linear with the branching even. You will understand more once you play it. I do wish the mouse icon changes to something nice and that fast skip doesnt require me pressing a button all the time.

Art and music: amazing!
The art is absolutely gorgeous and landscape pieces are amazing! There were so many hand drawn locations. The music is very nice, you hear traditional drums, bells and medieval type of music which can be korean.

Acheivements
Very straightforward and you unlock all of them when you reach each ending. You don't need to restart the whole game to reach the main two endings you can just choose a completed save and start from there.

Overall
I hope the devs make more titles and I eagerly await for them. This is a short murder mystery VN that gives a lot of attention to character development and a different type of story telling, with unique game play in a unique medieval cultural setting and it will never disappoint you.

Sure why not. I thought the game was an introductory premise to something big to come.
As someone who loves video games made about the cold (Kona, Kholat, Near Death) I would say this game is promising.
Gameplay is very short for this, but I think it was interesting.
There is no recognition for objects "E showing up for an interactive object" I think it did make the game challenging.
Audio is good, dialogue is okay. Loved the cold jokes. Graphics cool.
But it's super duper short and AI free, completely man made!

IDK What I Read But..
This visual novel is a blend of (Imo) love craftian elements, a dash of humor, cute chibi art and sort of doesn't make sense in most of the story. Play it if its your cup of tea, my mind is to not recommend tbh but I feel it's not that super bad also. So it's a bit conflicting oh well. I loved the music and the character sprites above anything.

You follow the life of a heiress in Bakuto clan some sort of a Japanese mafia gang from the old times. There are a few other factions to which the Bakuto clan has feuds with. Then out of nowhere you realise the heroine has powers which I don't really see the origin from. It seems to be related to a phantom, a love craftian based monster which seems very powerful. The story is literally about uniting with the other factions and saving the world from this monster. Compared to many love craftian entities, the monster however is not that aggressive or evil and is negotiable I noticed. But I really don't feel the logic behind it. I know in love craftian stories things are a bit messy in general, but I understood naught. The story is also shoujo ai friendly but nothing major happens. The characters are okay, the male leads are one of a kind and I felt unique from each other and has a complete different role with saving the world with the heroine. I liked Tamaki a lot and his route is very cute. I think a character being a low class servants (game classifies this) to one of the potential leads and then still being another potential lead is interesting. For the gameplay I would say reaching an ending is insanely difficult especially in the climax scenario nearing the ending, The gameplay is bug-free however and the fast forward button is very fast lol. I don't understand how the options made any logical sense whatsover, most of the time I had to refer guides to get to a good route? Maybe it's just me.

The art was nice, i think the backgrounds were pretty good too. I thought the chibi sprites were very cute. The menu screen is what I have a bit of complaint about, when i first launched the game I thought the game was glitching and not part of the art lmao. The music is very good, I did not like the theme at the menu screen on headphones it's a bit loud and energetic, but it's to preference.

Mid Life Crisis Simulator
I worked in HSE and one of my jobs was to assess the needs of people who are fire fighters and implement them because they have to do night shifts and what's not. It made me nostalgic playing this game and experiencing their POV. Even though the main character is not a fireman but a lookout for fires, I feel that itself is a real challenging job and somewhat simillar job.

Story: Okay
I did not find the story depressing or that much sad because life happens, you move on. You realize when you are 31, nothing surprises you anymore. The story starts off with a man who had a rocky relationship with his wife and took a job to get away a bit. It's an interesting vacation like job but still challenging. You meet your supervisor who is a very nice lady and you communicate with her through a radio. It's a nice LDR remote working relationship. Things happen during your stay, mysterious person following your tracks, strange science teams and some drunks. You also direct the story a bit like a visual novel, so the second time you play it, you are still entertained. The story does emphasize about fire hazards/safety quite a bit which is very good information for normal people.

Characters: Okay
I don't think there is much development except the guy going through a phase in his life. I think he is a lumberjack type of guy who does like nature and is good with an axe. The supervisor is mysterious and they have an interesting relationship with twists and turns. There's the guy's wife Julia also, then some side characters. There is not much of a strong BG info about others except the main character. The story is not striking and it's not oscar worthy but it fits I guess.

Gameplay
Had some performance issues which the SSD fixed, can't play with discord voice in the BG then it lags must be my potat laptop but eh. It's a basic walking simulator where you are equipped with the map but I did need some time to get used to the paths and such, it's challenging, the navigation. You also open fire lookout caches, read notes, gather useful items and travel from various parts of the map. I felt the gameplay would have more interesting stuff to do and did expect some survival stuff like the forest, but oh well. I liked that you could play the second time with commentary and that the photos you took can be converted into prints which is a real nice marketing strategy within the game.

Art and music
The art is nice and scenic. Real relaxing. The music is okay. Voice acting is good.
The dialogue between the characters are great, some dark humor and sarcasm. it made by bf laugh he liked it.

Achievements: bugged
It's bugged, the achievements are bugged. Most challenging ones are finding the turtle and the shutter bug is clearly bugged. For me i found the turtle at Jonesy lake, i checked there two days prior to day 68 or something and it was not there but poof it appeared on that particular day, according to the guides the turtle is at one location in each new playthrough but yeah it changed for me bruh. I needed to restart the whole game and get the shutter bug acheivement, but at least its achieveable. You need to stop alt tabbing out of the game, turn on manual saving instead of auto and then go ahead before getting bugged ones.

Overall
It's a short walking simulator about fire safety, navigating mid life crises and enjoying that wonderful scenery. It's relaxing, mysterious and too much walking to get to the path that you really want to go.

Don't Let Intrusive Thoughts Win!
This game is quite interesting. Disclaimer it has some disturbing content with violence, psychological abuse, bullying and some deep topics. I intitally thought it was a bit simillar to the game "Chinese Parents" but this is the dev's representation of a very popular drama called "Hidden Corners" with an IMDB rating of 8.1. So it is completely different. This is also by far one of the most underrated games of all times in it's genres.

Story: Depressing
You follow the life of a 6 year old boy where the mom is very controlling, he is studious and get good grades. But his family life is in jeopardy,he gets accidentally involved in an incident with his friends which changes his life forever. The story spans into 4 or 5 different chapters, each reflecting into the boy's psyche and psychology of his life and relationships with his peers and family. It's a battle between his subconcious and how he navigates trauma and earns his freedom or demise. It seemed very linear with the story having several easter eggs to other franchises here and there, but this is a promising game about child psychology. There are horror elements too, suspense and thriller with very good narration technique. There are 3 endings to achieve but the story still ends vaguely for me no matter which ending I got. I do suspect watching the drama would make me piece things together which I hope to do within 2025.

Characters: The baddies
Main character is resigned from the start, his life messy, it gets even more messier with an incident regarding a murder happens. Good character development which you direct it or otherwise you destroy it. His subconcious is personified as an animal which is an interesting development. This animal also reveals it to the main chara. His friends; Pupu and Liang are orphans, contrary to his situation but they still appreciate him as a friend. The mother is very controlling but can be seen in typical asian moms where the marriage does not go well. The father, well.. is a debatable character. The serial killer also has a huge background, huge development going on which is rare. I have watched many serial kiler documentaries but the plot twist in here made me feel awe, it does give that percept out that people are born as a blank slate and can be dyed white or black.

Gameplay
This is a horizontal walking simulator type of game where you can collect objects and use, combine aka; the basic adventure puzzle game mechanics. The puzzles itself can be a bit difficult but I was able to crack all of them except the last maze puzzle without help. I enjoyed the puzzles, i feel like I played more tougher ones in HOG games to be honest. Nevertheless, I enjoyed solving and cracking these ones! There are some VN like elements of choosing dialogue and going straight to a bad ending. There are also "boss fights" and some insane skippable mini games. I thought the game play was okay. The menu will be presented in Chinese but it is possible to change the menu to English. The game should have chapter selection which would be useful in getting achievements but was not there.

Art and Music
I loved the art, i did notice that some areas can be super dark and I had turn on brightness to the maximum in certain mini games. The music is okay. The voice acting was pretty good.

Achievements
Achievements can be pretty straight forward, just exploring every corner and being observant would trigger most. Choosing all dialogue options would help also. They are not that relatively hard, not having a chapter selection would make some achievements harder. For the endings, the devs gives you a reset option where you can choose the triggers for each different type of ending this saves you the time from doing the game all over again.

Overall
This is a very deep psychological thriller about a 6 year old Chinese boy's mindset impacted by trauma, restrictions and other unfortunate events. There is some societal representation of the competition between students in studies and insights into people who are orphans. A comparision of sorts. You do wonder sometimes what is real and what is not. We look at his life and trauma from his POV and it's such an interesting yet a sad tale weaved carefully by the developers on their take on the story.
