This is arguably one of the more difficult Mega Man games. You'll really need to rely on the double gear mechanic to get through some of the levels as it's nearly impossible to clear a stage without using it. I just started playing the game but I suppose repeated farming for bolts will be required to get the E-Tanks and upgrades in order to make the game less frustrating to clear.

Apart from the new Double Gear System Mega Man 11 stuck to its roots and played things safe by retaining the traditional Mega Man tropes: 8 robot masters that recommends to be beaten in a certain order, weapons to obtain, upgrades and items to purchase, and of course the Dr. Wily castle at the end. As for the storyline it's pretty straightforward where Dr. Wily is upfront in his schemes instead of manipulating someone. Judging by the flashback scenes I suppose this game would be one step towards ending the Light-Wily feud, or at least move the plot towards the X series. Nah.

Graphics are pretty beautiful, using 2.5D cel-shaded graphics but overall this is just your traditional NES Mega Man with beefed up graphics. The best thing I liked is that the game requires less than 2GB of space to download and it runs well on my GTX 750, making it well-optimized even for a potato PC.

If there's a gripe I would have on this game that would be the lack of secrets and branching paths. There are no collectible letters or armor parts to find, so once you clear a level there's pretty mucn no reason to redux it other than getting the Steam achievements.

If you're a Mega Man fan or a fan of platforming games this is a sure buy. Not getting this game is like being an anime fanboy on prom night!
