I got lost in the castle.

Such a nice concept but it's too short in the execution. Even for PVP gaming standards this one is way too boring and bland. If this is an extra mode for a main game Capcom should've just spent their resources elsewhere.

The game has bugs in its control scheme as it ghosts the third key press when holding down the EX Weapon / Flashfield button. If you can get past this it's still an awesome spiritual successor to the Mega Man Zero series.

As always DONTNOD is good at storytelling. Although this game doesn't feel as relatable as Life is Strange it still makes you intrigued on the plot nonetheless.

In terms of presentation, graphics, and effects this game is among the best eye candy there is. However, if you're looking for a deep and serious fighting game there's Street Fighter and Tekken.

It's really nice that this game is easy to pick up, but it teaches bad habits like mashing and spamming attacks instead of strategic play. I understand there's a level of depth in this game and there can be high level play involved particularly in defense with its holds mechanic, but it can easily be overlooked by casual players.

It also doesn't help that this is one of the most expensive fighting games out there if you're trying to complete the content. On the bright side, the costumes are purely cosmetic so you can get past them and just get the characters.

Dead or Alive 6 can be recommended as a regular game, but it's a bit no-no if you're looking for a deep and serious fighting game.

While DONTNOD may be good when it comes to making games with compelling plot like their Life is Strange games, they need improvements when it comes to action gameplay mechanics like they had with Remember Me. Unfortunately, Vampyr wasn't spared of sloppy action mechanics which is unintuitive at best.

The saving grace of this game is its story. I'm playing it in normal difficulty but by the looks of things playing it at Story Mode could be the most enjoyable way to get immersed with this game. Hopefully DONTNOD could work on their combat mechanics and have it simplified in their future action-oriented games.

I first tried to get this game roughly a year ago but had to refund because it won't run on my PC, which had Windows 7 at the time. I tried my hands to get this game again this year and thinking that it will run properly now because I have Windows 10 with new hardware, and boy I was wrong. The game still won't run and without some third party files that I got from the community forums I might have ended up refunding the game. The only downside of getting the files however, is that I can't play it online and unlock achievements, which is a shame.

In terms of arcade experience it's as authentic as it can be, but with these technical issues it's very hard for me to recommend this game. If you're among the lucky ones who can run this game without having to use some third party files then kudos to you.

A very good alternative to Rocket League.
