Does the Battlefield thing better than current Battlefield. Arcade-y Tarkov is fun too.

With phenomenal music and audio, the Metro atmosphere is dense. Sense of claustrophobia and darkness are well executed, at times overwhelming - just like they should be. Though I wish switching language to Russian in the game properties and then setting subtitles and UI language to English in-game was possible. The fake Russian accent in English dialogue becomes a bit jarring. Gunfights differ nicely between mutant and human opponents, with latter being stealth-able in every case (with an achievement to match) . Guns, while not numerous, feel and look as they should. Every enemy weapon you pick up is different, stitched with random junk found around the metro.
There are some technical shortcomings, mostly in the performance department. It generally runs smoothly, but there are times when it freezes and lags for a solid number of seconds. It's thankfully being worked on. Locomotion leaves a few things to be desired, too. Climbing on a ladder feels unimmersively weightless and jumps, across a gap or down from a box, are just plain teleports. On the other hand this makes it a very stomach-friendly experience, so it might be a plus for you.
All in all, worth picking up.

It's OK to cheat in this game, devs are busy banning unfortunate souls who misgender their characters. Anyone who made Apex the smash hit when it launched has either been removed from a position of power or outright left Respawn, now it's a shameless cashgrab lacking of any vision whatsoever.

An incredibly solid foundation shaping up to be a great alternative for a more chill but still tactical version of Tarkov. It's still realistic within reason, but not obnoxiously so. Don't get me wrong, it can still be challenging! GJ!

Not worth it. Extremely bare-bones game with little to no polish on it's already miserable foundation. Guns have no recoil even when held in one hand, there's no aim/ADS movement speed penalties, guns reload themselves and majority of movement options like ladders are bound to buttons (in a game that claims to be built from ground-up for VR). TTK is also tragic, with all the guns killing in 1-2 shots regardless of ANYTHING. Movement speeds are comically unbalanced.
All in all, you can feel your braincells dying as you play. 0 fun to be had, although it might just pull out kids from other, more serious/demanding games.

Same problems that brought down PG3D. P2W guns, hackers, HELLISHLY awkward movement.

It used to be a fun extraction shooter similar to EFT. Now.... Ew. Don't even bother. The game is cluttered up with meaningless menus/"mechanics"/various clutter, TTK depends solely on who's got better gear and you can pay for respawns that give you wallhack on your killer (Who's gonna kill you again anyway BC he's got a higher tier armor/gun). Oh, and you can gamble for a ghillie suit.

Half-baked piece of garbage designed for addiction and money. Most of the vital day one features aren't in the game, and these that are don't function properly. Issues with AUDIO ENGINE and HIT DETECTION (sic) That should be a standard for AAA game developed by (here it comes) THREE THOUSAND DEVS over the span of THREE YEARS.
