It's certainly harder than GemCraft - Chasing Shadows, but I don't think that's a bad thing in and of itself.

I'm 11 hours in at this point, and it's a little bit grindy, but not in a bad way. I'm not a fan of the Trials maps, but perhaps they'll grow on me.

I mean, it's not a BAD game. It's just not a GREAT game. If you get it on sale for say $20, it's a great way to kill ~20-30 hours before all the things (forced cut-scenes, repetive missions, etc.) really get to you. Until then, it's a fairly fun ride. Kinda like a not bad "Just Cause 3" knockoff.

As many others have said, it's a fantastic "dark" version of a farming sim.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about - I'm not a hard core tycoon type gamer, and I love this game.

If you like Tower Defense, then you need to play this.

If you hate RTS (as I do) do not be concerned by this. It is barely RTS in the micromanagement sense that I hate.
