Well, i had high hopes going into the newest installment of the just cause franchise that ive previously enjoyed so much, and it was really a letdown to learn that it was pretty much the same game as just cause 3, only more boring, with all the missions being the exact same.

I had originally left this game a positive review because they game is good, the developers are the problem. with every new problem comes a litany of bugs that the developers dont concern themselves with, development for the last year has been focused souly on in game items and skins which dont play any role in the core gameplay. even with their recent update they made optimization worse and i can only speak for myself here but my fps has dropped by 20 in game aswell as a painful frame-stutter that makes the game virtually unplayable. heed my advice and dont buy the game.

naturally, being developed by rockstar, the game is fantastic. That being said, the online mode is a downright joke. I went into read dead online expecting to be able to do train robberies, bank robberies and all sorts of cowboy stuff with my friends, what i got was a bitterly unplayable mess that felt more like a chore then a game. the missions are boring, everything is too expensive, all the missions are the same. the typical mission pays out anywhere from 3$ to 10$ and anywhere from .04 to 1.6 gold, depending on what mission it is, that being said, everything is expensive and overpriced in the game with a sniper rifle alone costing 458$, a horse costing 250$ (for a good one) and clothing costing 400$ for an outfit. the cost of items wouldent be a problem if it wasnt impossible to get money, on top of that, other players with better weapons will kill you almost instantly and you cant fight back because they have better weapons. the next issue is in-game purchases, the game is completely pay-to-win giving the players the ability to buy gold instead of earning it as well as locking certain guns and horses unless you've bought in game currency with real money. the last issue id like to touch on is the horse mechanics, driving in GTA was fun, riding horses in red dead is painful. I cant tell you how many times ive died because my horse randomly decides to throw itself into something and die, or literally just go a different direction then i am trying to. all and all the games story is fantastic, if thats what you like, but read dead online is a complete joke. i would still reccomend the game if you like a good story.

TL;DR The story is fantastic, the online is an unplayable mess.

Great game but its got its flawes. Very graphics dependent and wont run at good fps unless you have the best hardware. playerbase is very low but there is a dedicated following.

Rust is..... Well intresting, the people are horrible, the game lags, there are cheaters, and yet i cannot stop playing it. The game keeps you involved with no wipe-cycle being the same as the last, with new people to meet and different expierences every day, no two wipes will ever be the same. that being said if you are easily offended, or weak hearted, or generally dont have 12 hours a day to grind, it probably wouldent be the game for you, that being said its truely one of the best games ive played and continue to play.
