At first I thought the game was fun, and it is. However, SONY is now pulling a sneaky move where they are forcing PC players to sign up with a PSN account to link it to Steam. I do not blame the developers of the game, but I can't support a game that forces its players to sign up for a needless PSN account. Now in order to play an "always-online" game, you not only need to count on Steam servers to cooperate, but now SONY's servers. I do not want to create a PSN account because I don't want them to get hacked again (which they have been) and have my account details taken and abused.

Sorry, the game is fun but have fun signing into 3rd part arbitrary BS! Thumbs down.

EDIT 5/7/24 - The game is already so great and the devs have been great. I don't blame them for SONY's decision, but I am glad SONY reversed their dumb decision to force PC users to create and tie a PSN account. Review updated to THUMBS UP.

If you want a free Halo experience, this is the game. The gameplay is fun, though only 3 Big Team Battle Maps and nearly a half dozen smaller maps. There are some underlying issues and business decisions that do not seem to be player-friendly.

The content is lacking but it's only been out for 2 weeks at this point. If you've followed this game you will know that most of their cosmetics is locked behind a paywall. This has put a sour taste in my mouth as I've always been able to unlock armor pieces and effects by playing the game in the previous Halo games. However, 343i decided to put a majority of these through their Battle Pass (BP), which is lacking content or through their Shop. For example, the color blue for 1 type of armor is going for $10. Meaning you can only apply it to one of the models you unlock and it's not universal. On top of that, this $10 blue color/coating is not much different than the free blue you get for every armor set.

One last thing I'd like to mention is that there is no Assault/Bomb in Big Team Battle. They have this new gamemode called Stockpile, which is far from my favorite mode. If you get into these games, you'll be on the team that knows how to play the mode or one that doesn't give a crap about the mode and will just play for kills. On top of that, there is only the option to queue in a Quick Play 4v4 match, Ranked 4v4 match, or Big Team Battle. No way to just queue for an objective or slayer game.

For the sole purpose of this game being fun when in a match, I will give it a thumbs up. However, until they fix the way you can unlock cosmetics, add more gamemodes that aren't temporary, and separate Objective playlists from Slayer playlists, I won't be playing much of it or buying another BP.

This is like hardcore Call of Duty, but not for p*ssies. Seriously, there's nothing more to say. BUY IT! NWI has a solid dev team!

Just car soccer right? Wrong! Anyone can drive a car into a big soccer ball, but what about passing to a teammate? What about centering the ball? What about flying? Flying!? Yes! This game is so easy to play, yet hard to master. I have sunk so much time into this game and I'm terrible yet I still have a lot of fun! Being able to pull off a random bicycle kick pass to a teammate who scores it, there's no greater feeling! This game has the fun back into gaming...it's a breath of fresh air!

I played the pre-alpha and now the release of EA. This is made by the HAWKEN and WarZ/ISS devs. Pre-alpha and EA are no different. This game is playable but not funcitonal. If you want to play with friends you have to give them a randomly generated code when you host a lobby. There are no rounds, so once the game is over you have to go back into the matchmaking system after inviting your friends with the code again.

The gameplay is very clunky like WarZ. No progression or unlocks (if you're into that sorta thing). I'm willing to give devs another chance, but this game isn't worth the pricepoint right now. Here are some keys, try it out yourself if you don't believe me.

Absolutely the most fun I've had on an FPS on PC in a decade. This is what the next Counter Strike should have been. Hit registration is solid and the game balance is amazing. This isn't your typical run and gun. This game requires teamwork through VOIP and awareness that other FPS games don't require. I highly recommend this game.
