magic the card game is fun, but the average player will never win on this game unless you accept you will be paying money consistently to play it online and sink a lot of money into it to have any fun at all and not get anything of value; only lose and not have any of the fun social aspect of playing it in person

basically it's like paying a subscription for a service except its not a subscription and its microtransaction costs and you don't get any cardboard in return that at least holds up 50% of the value potentially if you buy the paper product
