Early Access Review
Seems to be an awesome space survival game, will update with a more refined review once i have put some hours in.

15/02/2020 : 220 Hrs In.

Empyrion - Galactic Survival.

What can i really say that could make you think to go buy it and support the developers.

I could start with how Awesome this game is becoming, i think i jumped in and brought it at around version 8, the game in whole is about survival along with base building and defence, making a spaceship to leave for other planets and star systems' we have also got trading in a small form, although i suspect that the trade system will be having a major overhaul before release, there is also multiplayer if that's your thing, simply put, Empyrion is a game where you can go off in any direction and start surviving, i really love the game even with its bugs and all.

Which brings me to say this, bare in mind when playing Empyrion that you are in fact only playing an EA Release and not a full blown game, the developers will and have made changes to some system elements that a fair few people did not initially like the idea of, me, personally love the weights and measures feature as well as ALPHA 11's new flight dynamics/models, the game in whole is just getting better and better, even if now and again some updates might change some things i may like in game, either way, we only have to let the developers know on the official website and or steam forum to put it to them to keep said features and think about bringing them back in.

You see, this is what i meant by the game being in Early Access(EA).
We have to communicate with the developers and fellow players on the forums if we want change or to voice our concern's about where the game may be heading.

Overall if you love space and sci-fi along with survival as well as base building then this game is what you have been waiting for, go right ahead and dive in to the Zirax infested space of Empyrion - Galactic Survival.

I would definately recommend this game.
It is easily a 9/10 game, a lot of love and talent has gone into this game,
There is various reviews where they are slating the devs of the game for firing someone over a twitter or something, not really read it to be honest as im here to play and apreciate an AWSOME GAME, dont let the SJW's ruin it for you, if you like what you see then id say get it, you really wont be dissapointed by it i am sure.

Edit : NMS Latest patch's and updates has added a number of features that has been called out for awhile, especially in the building menu, we now have the triangle shapes along with optimizations as well, overall.
DEFO GO BUY IT.

With all the new additions to the base game NMS, this new NEXT update has completely changed the game for the better, we have a decent base building menu now with plenty of things to make any base a possibillity,

There is now even better exo-craft's and upgrades for them, just wait untill you try out the suicidal --------> Pilgrim Exo-Craft, they have all been over hauled now to the extent you can actually paint them whatever color you like, as well as add a few decals onto them too, oh did i forget to mention the inventory space's of all exo-craft has also been increased for the better, the Collosus actually seem's to be worth driving now.

Storage for the freighter is a lot better if you ask me and the menu system is working spot on.

The game might still have the odd bug here and there, but, seriously, tell me a game that has no bug's <10.9.8.7.6.5.4.3.2.1> see, you couldnt think of 1 game that was "Bug Free"

All in all i have sunk well over 400 hours into this game.
The exploration and finding of creatures and all flora on a planet is really relaxing and engaging, if this wasnt enough, well we also have ruin's, places where you can go to dig up archaeology and some maybe some info into what the objects are we can excavate.

Pirate raids are here too, whether you choose to hunt the pirates or actually become one of the most feared, you can do that too, you see No Mans Sky isnt just some space sim, its like an RPG-SPACE-SIM-ARCADEY experience that you have got to try.

Believe me, the game has come a very long way from the earlier release days, any reviews that base it on this are not giving you an honest opinion on this game which is not fair considering that SM & HG have stuck at this game to make it what it was first initially promised.

The multi-player is honestly getting better, you can now see each other especially if you join a friends game or enable the option in the settings.

Recently we have been told that we are getting another titled update, this time it is called The Abyss, cannot wait to see what other things HG have in store for us.

Oh, did i forget to mention that every update even The Abyss has been and will be FREE.

Awsome as ever, cant wait for the next iteration

Rough Platime : 30 Hrs ish

Well what can i tell you about the game X: Rebirth.

I dont know really as its a mixed bag to be honest.

What i can say is that it is very different to the earlier X: Series of games from what i have seen on Youtube !.

There is still a steep learning curve to the game and depth that can go on for hundreds and even possibly thousands of hours alone just from playing through the campaign and continueing on building and finishing your empire of evil badass pirates or as anything you can think of basically.

You can only use one ship as your main command vessel and where you will be spending most of your time doing all the things you can in the X: Rebirth Series of games to create and get a fully productional corperation going,
BUT.
Saying this.
MAYBE you would rather more play as a bit of a rogue or hero, pirate, even mining.

This is what the X: Series of games is all about.
Giving you choice with one hand in choosing the playstyle you like.
Whilst on the other hand they "depending how you see it !" take it away by only letting you have and fly one ship.
Bar the ones you can buy and have in your group.

The flipside to this is that there is a good many MODS on the workshop that add in some useful functionallity like the adding back of the ships bridge on capital ships, "not tried yet "trying to play vanilla first !" "

What i can also say is that yes at times the game seems to screw you over so badly it seems like pure Majik and blind luck that the mission you have finally done was one son of a bith to get going right and finally let me carry on about my buisness.
"Yeah, for you guy's that have allready been there i bet ya's had guessed it that i was on about the #100energycellsmission ! "
PURE FREAKIN NIGTMARE TO GET WORKING RIGHT,
And i was on the latest version, version 3.53(193580 - 64bit),
I swear to holy GAMEEOBA i must have done at least 5 clean restarts of the game before i finally sussed it all out and how to go about doing the mission.

Un bloody believable.

However when the game dose work right it does do it well.

Now, there is still some major issues there that need to be fixed and patched from what i have been reading here and on the egosoft forums.

Personally i havent come across any game breaking bugs that are so bad that you are unable to play.

My performance is ok, not the best i would like it at but i can still play with some wiggle room before the fps dips every now and again.

Overall i intend to put a lot more hours into this game and apart from the crap at the start with the #100energycells headache fiasco extraordinaire, then things do seem to get better with the missions/campaign.

One thing i will say though when using the rahanas for the deliveries is that you have to be patient, you have to WAIT untill you are notify'd that they are there and picking up the goods, You have to remain patient, dont forget you are part of a major huge economy when you are playing any X: series of games, so you have to wait just like any other transport or delivery vehicle when you need to dock your other ships, with the Albion Skunk, you dont have to wait, you can slalom around the mines and sattelites and mining headqurters as well as check out asteroids to your wee hearts content.

The mods to this game are really good.
You can get it where it makes the game much harder than it is allready by adding in wars - faction wars - xenon fights - tradeing - fighting - exploring !!! there is a fair few there, but if you look through and read about the high ranking ones and most liked and subbed then you can guess that the mod is safe and good to go/use.

Anyhows time to end this review.

Bare in mind anybody that does read my review all the way to now, as this bit is really important.

If you are looking for a decent and deep learning curve space sim, then YES, you have found the right game with X: Rebirth, just bare in mind that there is a lot of negative reviews hating on the game as it wasnt how they expected it or that it wasnt like the older X: Games, i'd say read them BUT also take them with a pinch of salt, the games been out a while since then and it has improved quite a lot from what i had been reading about it.

Strange thing is i was going to buy it about a year ago but was put off by the Bad Reviews, How i wished i had brought into it back then, then again that said, i wouldnt have also gotten it at the deal i did either recently.

The game has significantly gotten better from what i can see and read, from the train wreck of the apparent release of it.

Anyways this is my review and score :

If you want the one and only true Apocalypse simulator with freeform gameplay and style then you have come to the right place,
Fallout 3 is full of life and has also got plenty to offer in mods and download content,
Cant wait for Fallout 4,

Early Access Review
Well what can i say about 7daystodie that hasn't been said allready.

The developers of this game,
TFP -AKA- "The Fun Pimp's",
Are a really good bunch of people.

They keep you updated on the main forum as well as Madmoles Tumblr page on any progress and updates the game is due to have.

They have a hell of a lot to do with the community and do actually listen to what people suggest and say.

This game is brilliant.

You get a real sense of achievment when you do start to get things going right.

I have watched this game for a very long time,
Allways pondering whether i should throw down my reddies,
Well guess what,
I wish i had done so alot sooner than waiting up till late alpha 7 - early alpha 8 before finally purchasing.
Still glad that i did though.

Basically, the game is set in the Zombie Apocalypse,
You have to do anything and everything to survive,
That could mean clearing out an area on the map because you need the house as a starting base or just going to the main city's that are dotted all over the map,
Although i wouldnt reccomend that untill you have at least got some supplys in,
Then you are good to go.

The game has numerous options so that you can tailor your own version of how you would like the game to play out,
By this i mean in the settings,
You can have it where the zombies run / walk / run at night / walk in the day,
Airdrops on or off or set to have so many spawn in a set time,
You can also just play on the default settings.

Just one note to potential buyers,
Just remember that the game is still in an ALPHA stage,
Although i must admit, this game is the best i have out of all the early access games that i do own,

One more thing as of 18 November 2014 "now" there is an update due for release soon ALPHA10 - A10,
This update is going to be huge as the random world itself lol,
There is actual character customization of your face,
Burning Zombies "1st iteration" of it,
An enemy activity system so the zeds can sense and find you if you make too much noise or use the forge or campfire,
There's a number of armor items coming in A10
There's just loads to come,
Did i forget to mention that there is going to be more animal's added over time and also the one thing that we really need to traverse the freaking huge map "Vehicles" !.

Just check joel hueninks Tumblr page and read the forums to see the love these guy's put into this game,

Right then down to whether i would recommend this game to anybody.

DAMN straight i would,
If you have read this far then what are you waiting for,
This game is truly brilliant and a masterpiece in the making,
Well worth every pound i spent on it.

Dont get me wrong, there is the odd bugs like the duplication exploit and a number of others,
None of which i have found to be game breaking to me..

A TRUE MASTERPIECE :

Currently 7daystodie is going through an engine change from Unity 4 to Unity5,
This will bring with it a number of extra options including and not limited to performance and graphics enhancements.

The ALPHA 11 release will be built on the new Unity 5 engine and is due to update anytime soon,
This game is and has gone from better to utter sheer brilliance, cant wait to try ALPHA-11 out soon.

One last thing,
Grab it now why its at a lower price because if you like zombies and apocalyptic settings then this game is going to be right up your street and believe me, you WILL get hundreds of hours of entertainment out of this game from the start.

Just a little add to this review,
I have noticed that some people have given this game a negative review,
Just WTF when they have less than an Hours playtime,
Totally bo110ks i'll tell ya.

Whilst the game has still got a fair few issues with it,
NONE & I MEAN NONE
Are that bad you could class them as game breaking,

This game is coming along nicely as to being one of if not they best game based around the zombie apocalypse scenario ever.

In fact, i would go as far as to say DO NOT BUY ANYTHING this developer puts out at the moment, wait and see if they can actually finish a game of this caliber.

As the game stands at the mo,
Well there has been yet another engine change for the game TDL,
What this now means is that this review is completely obsolete and does not relate to TDL UE4 version thats meant to be coming sometime soon.

What i can say is that for now this review is still going to recieve the good ole thumbs down status because as it stood in unity.

There was just not much happening in terms of updates and content you know the general stuff that makes a game fun to play or to test run.

What i can say is that due to the change to UE4 From Unity i will hold off for now on giving it a solid full on review, as afterall the game is still in ALPHA stage as they say.

So for now we are just waiting for TDL developers to get us an UE4-BETA into an ALPHA stage TDL for people to opt into, Might give it another look when the UE4 version gets put up on steam.

Untill then dont linger on, linger off.

Sidenote :-:
If you do want a zombie apocalypse style of game then i can reccomend to try 7dtd.

The game has progressed condiderably "All In Unity 4-5" so cant be that bad hey.

Bare in mind though that we have got to give Sandswept another chance really to see what they can do with the now free UE4 Engine,
But yeah i'd say leave well alone for now and in time i will update this review as i see fit how i see the game TDL.

As it stands right now as of 20-10-2014-@18:25 Build-14 then No.

My reasoning for this is because the lack of updates and the lack of decent content to see or interact with in the game world, Plus the overall general look and performance is overall poor "For Now That Is".
And also the Fact that some people dont understand how ALPHA testing works.

Please also bare in mind that this game is still very early into its ALPHA stage.

Personally !
I would recommend to buy it and sit on it untill the beta or the game gets more fleshed out.
As they say what more could you want at this stage for £15.00p bar the penny.

Also on a side note,
lets not forget that the guy's behind this game are really working hard to get the games look & feel right,
Hence the lack of weekly/monthly updates.

As well as the fact that the guy's are a really small team of dev's that are trying there darned hardest to get there dream realized and into the community.

Overall:
Patience Is Key.
Buy now to get at a discount price,
Wait it out till the game gets more content.
Then buzzin youll have brought it for a relatively good price of 15 quid when it goes up.

One last thing,
Build 15 is due any time soon.
This build has got a number of things that the dev's have been working on & added from improvements overall to the graphics to performance issues sorted and a number of bugs crunched.

Well what can i say about
How To Survive,
Its a zombie apocalypse kind of game that is done in a kind of top down third pesron view,
ive only done over an hour at the minute of writing this review,
so i am still new to it in that sense,
the pro's to the game are that as far as i have got there is a very good crafting system in place,
the enemies, "zed's",
have some variety to them and to be honest some of them you are going to have to think to be able to kill or get away from them,
the missions resolve around go here, fetch this, do that kind of play,
similar to state of decay,
in that you have other survivors that you can help,
in return they might give you something or even a weapon,
the graphics seem decent enough,
they are not triple AAA title good,
but for what the game is and does, they arer fairly polished in that regards,
Anyways to cut a long story short,
YES
i would say go and buy it,
Especially if it is in the sale as i did,
That way you wont be dissapointed if you dont like it,
me myself found it to be a refreshing change to DayZ SA that i am currently obseesing on,
Overall i would give the game a
Overall Score 8/10

For a free game, you would be mad to miss out on it,
i know its a fly, but the end to it is just sheer brilliant, not what i was going to be expecting lol,
very good and for nothing and 5 minutes of your time, then i would say get it YES,
you might just be pleasantly surprised by it.
plus it does literally only take five minutes to go threw, thats not a lot of your time is it,
for a unique crazy a$$ experiment like this game...
