Valve games use your computer's default microphone for speaking in-game. You can enable this by clicking the speaker icon, and hitting "open sound settings". You should also look into getting some microphone software, as the built-in laptop microphone you are using barely transmits the sobbing cope you're trying to deliver as to why you're intentionally feeding. Increasing the gain should help make it more audible.
