Fantastic game, but I wish it would actually tell you what items do when you pick them up, because the majority of pickups do not tell you what they do, so you're stuck going to the wiki while the game is paused.

You can turn on a setting and it will say what your most recent item does, you can also see your stat levels too for range, power, speed, attack speed, shot speed, etc
