I was one of the unfortunate people who bought this for $2 before it went free :(

Still, the skin is really nice, good job Sega!

Pros:
+ Amazing and creative artstyle (the psychedelic artstyle is insane)
+ Absolute banger of a soundtrack (it fits very well with the space setting)
+ Bullet heaven mixed with bullet hell gameplay is super fun
+ Very interesting lore
+ Beautiful theme and setting (the emptiness of space is demonstrated very well in this game)

Cons:
- Gets slightly repetitive after a while
- The story is kinda short

Picayune Dreams completely blew my mind. The art, soundtrack, and gameplay is so amazing, no other developer has made something as unique and creative as this. I love sci-fi and space, and this game is an amazing representation of the huge size and emptiness of space. I also love the UI and upgrades. The code that shows up when you go over upgrades and the diagram of the girl is what made me love this game so much, I literally feel like I'm in the future. The soundtrack goes so hard, almost every track is an absolute banger and fits perfectly in the huge empty dark space you're fighting in. The dreams that you encounter after beating bosses are insane. Each one of them is so weird, one of them even makes you feel like you're on LSD. The setting of the areas has really impressed me. Fighting hordes of weird monsters in the empty dark void with huge distant structures in the background feels amazing. It truly makes you realize how distant everything is and how small we really are as humans. I think the backgrounds were incorporated perfectly to the empty setting of the game. Anyways, Picayune Dreams recently won Gamemaker Game of the Year award and it really deserves it. Thank you so much Andyland and all of the other people who have worked on this game for making such a masterpiece I will always think about.

I bought this game expecting it to be a normal scary roguelike, and after 80 hours, I still can't stop playing. I do at least one run everyday, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ there are so many items, achievements, and monsters. And the randomness of the dungeons make each run feel completely new and different from any run you have played. I know this game might seem disgusting from the outside, but it's pretty much the most fun and replayable game I have ever played. Also, the design of the monsters and how many different mechanics there are for each monster and item you get just shows the creativity of the developer. This game has basically enough content to keep you playing for ages. Thank you so much McMillen for making this masterpiece!

This game is quite fun. I sometimes like to play this when I want to play some strategy games. The battles are fun but there is quite a lot of micromanagement with targets and missiles. I remember when I had to right click on each ship to see if it needs repairs and right click on the enemy to see if the missiles are reloaded, but then I found out that all that info is displayed neatly when you just select the ship. When some parts are damaged, a hammer will show next to those parts on that display allowing you to directly start fixing them from there. It even shows how many turns until the missiles reload!

I also love the spectacular replays after you finish the battle. It's like watching a movie! This game also has a very interesting damage system.

There are many parts of your ships that could get damaged, and the damage to them has different effects on the performance of your ships. If the navigation gets damaged, your ship has a more limited field of movement, which becomes more and more limited the more it gets damaged. The one part you would not want to get damaged at all costs is the fire control, if it is even slightly damaged, the ship cannot shoot anything anymore. It's super frustrating because I hate when my ship is mid fight and then I have to fix the fire control for the next 4 turns while the ship is running away because it can't shoot anymore. What's worse is that the enemy will shoot it up so much that the fire control will be completely destroyed, prolonging the fix.

There are also squadrons which are formations of small ships that you can command to either attack the enemy or defend one of your ships/squadrons. They're like X-Fighters or Tie Fighters from Star Wars, small ships that fly around the big ships and fight with each other. They're meant to be fighting with the enemy squadrons but if there aren't any then I usually assign at least one to defend one of my ships because squadrons can shoot down missiles which deal a lot of damage. The others just attack the enemy ships.

It's insane how complex this game is with every component of space ship strategy. I definitely recommend trying this well-made strategy game, especially if you're into Star Wars or 4X. Wait for it to be on sale though because I don't think this is worth the $40.

Amazing game! It's pretty complicated, but once you learn everything, it's very fun, and has a ton of possibilities you can do. A problem I encountered was my space stations disappearing once I left them, but that doesn't stop the game from being fun. Definitely worth buying!

As a person who never had an Xbox, I have never ever played any Halo games before. But when I seen this, I thought why not try Halo and see what it is about, as the game is famous. The trailer really took me in, and I eventually bought the game. So far, I am playing the Halo: Reach campaign, and the gameplay and story is truly amazing. What really shocked me was how many types of weapons you can use. I really liked how I got to go on a helicopter and shoot the aliens while flying. This game is really worth buying.
