game is fun and all, but they decided to add a microtransactions shop and a battlepass with ingame currencies and predatory costs and limited time items out of the blue.

this is a fully priced AAA game, I'm fine with dlc's and whatnot, but FOMO stuff and microtransactions are something that have no place in this kind of games.

there's also other issues, but since this is the vanilla version there's not a whole lot to say about them that hasn't been said already

not the game I paid for years ago

the retroactive censorship 10 years post release and removal of things I paid for is the stupidest idea I've ever seen.

devs calling their work a dirty sock and disrespecting the fans, and while this is all going, steam is refusing to refund it and the dlc's

can't recommend the game as it is right now.

its very fun to play, and the netcode is great, but the region lock completely destroys the matchmaking for me.

I don't live in a very populated area, so it takes around 15 minutes for me to find a match, just for it to be against 3-bar people who rejects it immediately or wifi players (I play wired)
and even then, it forces you to play against the same people over and over, ranked or unranked, doesn't matter, so at worst you get stuck in a cycle of people rejecting your games until one of you cancels the matchmaking.

for a game with a netcode this good, it makes absolutely no sense to have a region lock this strict.

the 2nd issue is with the game mechanics, the drive rush eats your inputs thanks to the screen freezing, its literally game breaking and extremely annoying to face people who drive rush just as you are waking up to try to disrupt your reversal input.

until the game doesn't get at the very least the matchmaking issue fixed, I really can't recommend it to anyone.

pretty good game
gameplay is fun, graphics are beautiful, story is interesting enough and the music is amazing

BUT

it has a flawed progression where you will be pretty much unable to unlock all the fun stuff til you finish the game, and lategame turns you into a murder machine with anything else to do than just farm archievements

hopefully the next updates will add up to it!

I kinda love and hate this game

- the gameplay is fantastic, its one of the best available monster hunting games right now, you have 6 melees, 4 guns and 3 type of shields to custom the weapon of your choice, plus all of the categories have their own stuff and blood arts, which improves the gameplay fairly a bit.

- battles are fun as hell, you really need to learn how to play this game at the later stages, where you can pretty much die in 2 hits if you don't have a decent build.

- character customization is pretty big too, no matter what you will always have a character you feel comfortable with.

- the ost is an eargasm.

- 2 games for the price of one!

- kanon daiba and gina dickinson are the best characters ever

BUT...


...the story is awfully bad.

really I don't know what was going on when they where developing the story, it has so much drama in it that it stops being fun after some hours.

plus the game really centers everything around you in the cringiest way possible, you are literally the center of the universe for most of the characters in the game...

to the point that there's a girl that literally spent all her life working for the millitary and reseaching stuff, and because you talk to her a couple of times she drops all her sadness to you and becomes your best friend and she cuts her relationships to almost everything she's been working in years to just be by your side.

its ridiculous.

I played the first god eater and yes you are a new type and you care cool as ♥♥♥♥ for being able to switch weapons, but both the story and characters aren't as cringy as what they did with this one.


-----> so my final toughts:

buy this game if you want to have a good time killing giant monsters and maybe playing with your friends while doing so, but don't buy this game if you expect a good story plot, because you won't find it

this game is actually amazingly good, it just have some lack of content due this being an early release

can't really vote negative since capcom said right at the beginning its an early release, they will release all the content left in aproximately 3 weeks.

so if you want to play singleplayer, wait 3 weeks, if you want to enjoy an amazing competitive online game, buy it now, but don't complain about the content.

I will edit this review once the game is fully released.

can't recommend this game, first of all its built in gamebryo, a very VERY old engine, so everything feels clunky (which doesn't make it directly a bad game, but there are a ton of better alternatives for the engine)

in other part, its your generic fps with ghost in the shell characters in it, which doesn't really give a lot of spice imo, you could play another f2p fps games and it would be the same.

its a shame this had to be a gits game, I loved the movies and the anime, and putting the universe in an fps would have been a great idea, but the devs just did it the wrong way, the game doesn't feel like gits, is just a grindy fps with gits characters in it.

this is basically the videogamified version of beauty

under the pixel graphics, hides a beautiful story about monsters, friendship and laser beams

you can basically follow 3 paths, the good, the neutral and the bad, each one giving you a different ending and different character reactions trough the game (even different final bosses!!)


I totally recommend getting it!

people talks ♥♥♥♥ about this game, but is not really THAT bad.

its true that the combat system is repetitive and mediocre, but the story is nice, the characters aren't plain and the graphics are beautiful (people says that graphics aren't important, but really, this game has really good quality graphics)

not worth full price (8 hours of gameplay aprox), but get in on sale, its a very nice game to play.
