Story: The story was fairly intriguing. Not the best, but I was interested in more.

Gameplay: The gameplay is where this game really falls flat to me. The game can be quite unintuitive. It has some nice looking fight mechanics, but for example, the first boss has a handful of moves that punish any strategy. The boss was easier when I gave up on trying to strategize and just went up and whaled on it until the boss fight was over. I have heard it gets "better" when you aquire a dodge ability later on, but not by much. The entire screen flashes a very annoying red when you get damaged as well.

Music: The music is very beautiful. It's has very enchanting atomospheric piano pieces that very enjoyably coincide with the graphics and tone of the game. The hi-hats in the soundtrack can be a tad lackluster. Some of the sound design isn't very good however; the death sound has a very jarring hard cut in the music and then an average quality voice actress. It's almost comical, and it sadly breaks the immersion for me.

Graphics: Oh man, oh man. This is where the game really excels. The graphics are very wonderful and have a very pleasing autumnal aesthetic. The pixel art is very well drawn, and the landscapes are gorgeous. The animations are pretty satisfying to watch.

Conclusion: I really wanted to enjoy the game, because of its fantastic pixel art, and soundtrack. However, the gameplay was too sloppy to me. I was extremely excited to play this game, and it looked very nice and promising, but while I was excited to play it, the game did not feel excited to be played. I'm sure there is enjoyment to be had with this game; after all, the reviews are very positive. But I personally cannot see the appeal. I'd recommend looking into the game more before purchasing to make sure it's right for you, and buying it on sale.

Story: A wonderful and captivating story, with optional backstory in the form of notes and books that really add to the realness of the game. The characters are wonderful and unique. Without getting into spoilers it does a wonderful job at immersiveness and making the world believable.

Gameplay: Now, what might make it hard for me to reccomend is the puzzle mechanics. I personally had no trouble with them, but I can see some people having a tough time with some of them. If you are having a hard time figuring out what to do, I do NOT reccommend looking up a walkthrough; the best option (in my personal opinion), is to simply turn off the game (it auto-saves when turned off) and then take sometime away from the game to collect yourself and think, and come back to it another time. I myself have had to do this a couple times during my first run.
I highly reccommend you do a Solstice Route after your first run through the game. (You'll know you're doing a Solstice Route, because there will be no mention of "solstice" up until the route takes place.) Without getting into spoilers (and oh boy is it hard to talk about this route without getting into spoilers) it is a really enjoyable ride that makes the game feel complete.

Music: The music is mostly composed of a melodic ambient piano. It is beautiful and relaxing, making the game feel dreamy. The design for sound effects is cutesy and satisfying. My only gripe with some of the music is that it is a bit short and repetitive, however I don't feel it got to any point of annoyance; however I did not spend too long on puzzles, so I imagine if some people where having trouble with them, the music might possibly get annoying.

Graphics: The pallette is so good, the desaturated tones add to the lighting, making the world seem so very dark around you, yet making you feel so bright and well-lit. The different colours used for the different sections of the game, give a wonderful feeling of progression and giving a great sense of how different people's lives are comparing the sections.
The artwork by NightMargin is absolutely a treat, it is all so cute and and the artstyle is very pleasing (I highly reccomend checking out their Tumblr or Twitter after your Solstice Route). The character designs are very unique and makes everyone feel like a main character of their own story, with their own lives that they live in the world.

Conclusion: If what you look for in a game is character interaction, immersion, and world-building I can without a doubt in my mind completely and utterly recommend that you buy this game (whether on sale, full-price, or gifted). If you're not a fan of those kind of slower, more story-based games or don't enjoy puzzles or like a bit more action, this is not really a game I could recommend to you.
In my personal opinion, the best way to experience the game is full-screen, with a plugged-in controller. However, I'm pretty sure everyone can agree that something worth doing for the full experience, is to turn off all distractions while you're playing.

I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH PLEASE PLAY IT: 𝟏𝟎/𝟏𝟎

CS:GO értékelés
Gameplay: It feels sloppy and fast-paced to the point that it's almost mindless. You do not automatically reload when you click the mouse and have an empty magazine, so you have to stop shooting to reload which goes against it's 'run and gun' nature. You recieve incredible speed reduction when shot, so once you're shot once you're pretty much dead and have no escape. There is no way to regain health, so again once you are shot you're pretty much dead. There is nothing that changes the gameplay other than what gun you have, which is not saying much.

Music: It's uncreative and provides nothing to the game, it just serves as noise.

Graphics: It looks very nice and smooth.

Conclusion: I wasted my money. I'd honestly rather endure 12 year olds on COD, because at least the game plays better, and is somewhat more skill-based. I tried to love this game, but it just kept making me frustrated. The only reason I have to keep playing is the achievements, which I might end up cheating to get, because the game is infuriating to play.

This is a wonderfully made role-playing game that has many secrets and replayability, it's amazing that this was made by a small independent team. This is also a "stop and smell the flowers" type of game, so if you do not enjoy that slow-paced nature, this might not be for you. The comedy is pretty well executed in my opinion. I did get frustrated at how slow the movement was during battles, but after I plugged in a controller and adjusted the sensitivity it was much better. Also, this is very much a game that you don't want spoiled too much for you.

[TL;DR: Pretty much Earthbound/Mother]

This game is the first game that I truely feel confident in saying that it's earned: 10/10

At first you'll be like "This is Minecraft," but as you explore and discover you realize that it's an original game. And it's beautiful.
