My 2016 Game of the Year, played hundreds of hours on ps4. Unfortunately, the community is basically non-existent on PC, so get it on console if you are able :)

Well, the game has since gone Free to Play, but updates have officially stopped. I still love this game so much and play it from time to time. Such a "Labor of Love" indeed :)

Clearing Out the Steam Library
Review Opinion #1 By Mafoosta
Mafoosta's reviews are meant as first impression opinions only and should not be considered a scholarly or professional review of the game. My opinions often differ from other players. I also never pay full price for games, so keep this in mind when reading the following...

Like my reviews? Let me know, I'll keep doing more!

Price Paid For Game: Obtained through bundle.
Current Score: [Not Applicable]
Phrase: It's early access, only buy if you are very passionate about offering feedback for this dev team. :)

The "Story"
10 Days after is a product of the Unity Engine, that is very clear upon initial load and play. When I attempted to launch on Steam, an executable could not be found, so it simply wouldn't start. I navigated into the local folder, found an executable, and used that to start the game, but Steam didn't track my playtime, so... When I finally got into the game, I must say that I was very amused by the music played during the loading screen... Something about that tuba... However, when I loaded into the world, after taking just two steps, I got stuck and had to relaunch the game. This should allude to the state of the robustness of the game itself: very buggy from what I've experienced. And this is to be expected, because the game is in version 0.09 I believe from what the menu told me? Anyways, I talked to a few characters and killed a few zombies, ran really far to meet a player, ran all the way back to the central hub, did a few quests, then got stuck again and had to restart, lost all progress, and here I am writing this. This review is mainly to offer a few suggestions to the devs, who appear active by their recent update about a week ago.

The Suggestions To the Devs
The car wasn't so obvious, so I didn't know about it until after I ran all the way to Josh. I thought that was a huge waste of time, especially when nothing happened when I got there. You should have included a zombie ambush or something, that would have caught my attention :)

The car also ultimately broke the game from my perspective. When I got in it, I couldn't use the menu anymore. I also didn't know how to get out of it; I still don't, I just mashed buttons until I escaped it's greedy clutches. Also, when I was in the car, the "Press F to get in" wouldn't stop flashing in the upper left.

The zombies... I laughed. I'm sorry. :D They're animated so poorly, it's quite unrealistic and a bit game breaking, but I could live with it if the next point was addressed.

The world is so empty at this point. I was really interested when I came across the other towns, but getting there... It's so empty. Maybe this is because it would be difficult to render a bigger environment? There was a significant amount of lag, only from what I could imagine are too many assetts trying to render at a distance.

Finally, the dialogue is quite slow, although the writing isn't too bad. I would speed up the text as it appears on the screen and make the option to skip it more obvious, since it took me several conversations to figure out that you can press esc. to skip through.

Those are the current suggestions I have for the game. It's a good concept, but it's been done before very well by several games. If you can find a better way to stand out above the other competition, then I will continue to support the game. I'll hopefully be back to update this review when there's another update. Looking forward to continuing with this product!

Summary
Please, keep this in mind: It's early access, don't expect a complete game. Consider this scenerio: You're 9 year old daughter brings you a paper she's written for class. You read it and there are grammatical errors throughout, choppy sentences, and misspelled words everywhere. What is the proper response, to throw the paper back at her and tell her it's horrible and the worst paper you've ever read, then move on to reading scholarly articles on your brand new Kindle? Or are you going to kindly offer her suggestions and help her grow as a writer? This is, of course, a different situation since we are paying for this game and your daughter is not selling you her paper... But if you are looking for a good game, then don't buy in. If you obtain the game through the bundle, instead of refering to it as a heaping pile of waste, you could offer some suggestions and move on, or just ignore it in your library :)

Recommend?
No, I do not recommend this as a game or even as an early access product. If you happen upon it as a bundle, go ahead and play it and offer some suggestions to the developers. This is all I have to say for now.

This has been a review opinion by Mafoosta. If you liked what you read, let me know! If you have any suggestions, I am open to hearing them!
