Honestly, I like zombie games, I really do but this one is... it's a hard sell at times, the cosmetics and stuff are overpriced, the game has Chinese bot farmers galore, pvp/pve content is fine in the early game but if you went into melee, hoping for some balanced game-play? Prepare to get tenderly loved, shoulder deep, by all the mutants that can 1-2 shot you. As well as tank a small national guards armoury worth of ammunition, as well.

Overpriced cosmetics, a community that is as fragmented as the shell casing of an American Mk.II "Pineapple" grenade and generally overall poor support. The game could have been a lot better than it is, Pwn could remove the bots, he really should, but the irony is they're also likely the one thing keeping the game from being completely tanked into the trash bin. And the handful of wallet whales that keep buying into the bad decision making process behind the game. There's no real pay to win, persay.

You can't really buy over powered premium equipment, like you can with DF1; which is arguably more Pay to win than DF2. But the bots are clearly one of the bigger underlying problems here, and it's very obvious who's botting and who's not by the massive gaps in the leadboards between certain players.

Techland screwed us over. The story feels rushed, the epilogue was lame, more plot holes than pot holes in Washington and well, yeah, they tried and failed to salvage the story and somehow just made it worse. Gameplay wise? It's fun, has some problems here and there, that can be a source of frustration. But, I simply can't recommend a game based on parkour and zombie killing alone.

Techland, you screwed the pooch royally here. You really, truly did. And let's not get into the whole, SHOWING us the last mission in the initial game trailer from last year or so. ((Triple A games feel like a damn joke nowadays. Overpriced goods for rushed, visual and verbal slurry that leaves you wondering what the hell happened. Because they should have held the game back another two years to work on the story. Or other elements; like gameplay optimization.)

But impatient people and shareholders don't like the idea of a game coming out already polished like golden brass. Like Cyberpunk 2077, to use an example of a game that could have used another year or so in development.

Instant gratification is not so gratifying when you start to find all the metaphorical peeling paint and cracks.
