This is the first game I've played that feels like it really built on what Counter Strike established. The map destruction and environment interaction really elevates the gameplay, combined with interesting Operators interactions and counters.

On the bright side, it's got some good tactical action. It doesn't pay to run-and-gun, tactics and team work will almost always win the day.

On the down side, it is one of the single worst examples of Free-to-Play in existance. Gear wears out over matches and you have to pay real-money currency to repair it. You can pay real money for better guns, better gear, even bullets that give you 20% better performance. More money in = more advantages.

I want to like it, but in the end I find myself loathing it for the fun held hostage by a trashy monetization scheme.

One of my favorite video games of all time, and now compatible with modern operating systems and with Steam multiplayer support! Fantastic!

A solid RTS.
