This is a hard game to play and get started at, especially with Chivalry vets, but if you can work past the toxic chat, the learning curve, and use of broken weapons, this is a hilariously fun game you can sink hours into and ewven more if you have a group of friends to play with.

As a returning SG fan, I am happy to where the Developers have taken the series. The game feels very familiar in its visuals and combat mechanics to SG2, while providing more ships, equipment, weapons, a refined story-telling, and more. The additional ability to manufacture and control fleets, research new technologies, and enhancements, conquer other factions and fight over territory, while managing the growth of your newly acquired territory adds to an almost real-time 4X game mixed with a space sim. The balance works well, and with mod support, such as models for new ships, new music to replace the in-game variety and other additions, SGW has shaped up to be a wonderful game with many hours worth of side activities.

Even the base game has a plethora of content to explore, with friends this is definitely a game to get, but for those of you coming from Skyrim, Oblivion, and the like, do keep in mind this IS an MMO and plays much differently then the RPGs.

solid upgrade, has some of the same and some mods unique to SE itself, and it was free if you had the base game too.

To this day, I still play and mod the hell outta this, still a solid choice

Good game but it gets pretty repetitive. Plenty to collect for all the achivement hunters

Good game, lots of flexibility in combat styles. The spell making can be easy to start but mid-combat, it can be pretty frantic when your ward spell turns into a self targeted meteor. Great game to get together with friends and just blast eachother in the faces.

Very good. My be overwhelming on the outside but a simple system as a whole. Deep strategy involved and flexible for any playstyle
