legitimately one of the greatest in the genre. fantastic story, music, gameplay and artwork.

fun, accessible and potentially challenging(up to you to decide the difficulty with modifers)
easy to pick up and put down (saves your position on each room, can quit and pick up where you left off at any time)
interesting characters, weapons, and builds... can't say anything new that others haven't already said - it's peak

i'd recommend this to anyone

Gotta be honest, the full release isn't all that different from Alpha. . .

Some bugs are still around - e.g. the traders will automatically close and lock your doors if you build close to them(pain in the ass in co-op unless you give everyone the door passcode)

Game still does not run well on mid PCs and tier 5+ clear quests will kill your frame rates no matter how good your rig is.

It's not worth 57.99 CAD.. it's maybe worth 20-25 CAD at best. Wait for a sale.

The only thing missing is Mass Effect 3 Online Multiplayer.

Other than that, this has to be the best way to experience all the games. Massive face lift compared to OG Mass Effect, comparable to some ReShade mods you can get for standalone versions.
The sniper rifle in the first game is actually usable now (no ridiculous sway) but it also makes the weapon very overpowered IMO if you're skilled with a mouse and keyboard.

most consumer friendly 4-person horde shooter on the market!
easy to pick up, even if you take breaks and come back to it - earning every overclock, event cosmetic, previous battle passes.. all can be done just by playing the game.

cannot recommend this one enough.

Basically unplayable online. Friend and I are both NA west, one in Canada, one in the US - Game will rubberband and lag so badly that firing your gun and the enemy reacting to that shot will be a 2-5 second delay. In between that window, if the enemy reaches you and attacks you, it'll do damage.

Even in a single-player setting, this is the jankiest of the Resident Evils that came out after original RE4. Quick Time Events are very common. Melee attacks and combos are very over the top.. It's also less readable than original RE4 - pickups, breakables, and just general lighting makes this game an eyesore to look at, navigate and make precision shots with.

I cannot recommend this to anyone - Stay away and buy RE4 remake, RE4 original, or even RE5 for a better overall experience. If this is the last Resident Evil game out of the RE4-likes that you haven't played yet, then MAYBE check it out.. just to see how much of a downgrade it is to RE4 and 5.

Gameguard is not good. If you look up how Gameguard impacts performance and is a security risk, you'll understand. Unfortunately, it makes playing with my friends difficult because they get constant crashes and dropping.

Fun, amazing gameplay and the grind towards better gear and weapons is consumer friendly (rare in this day and age)

but gameguard is just not working out well for the game. I'd recommend waiting until the devs realise how far behind they are and remove it.

Early Access Review
It's promising, but the starting point isn't good.

You have to lose at least 3x before you'll be able to kill anything. Be prepared to continuously die so you can spend the small amount of materials you get to buy Damage, Mining Speed, Movement Speed, etc upgrades in order to actually survive long enough to "win"

This isn't Vampire Survivors. You have to mine certain minerals to really progress. Until you do, you won't be killing anything fast enough to complete a full dive early on. The upgrades you get per level up aren't unique or interesting, either. 10% damage on your starting weapon, 10% reload speed, etc. You can't combine two weapons to get a stronger one like you do in Vampire Survivors. Weapon synergy doesn't really exist, it's just small incremental upgrades to your damage, reload speed, etc. until you get overclocks after TWELVE upgrades.

It's just straight up not fun to realise you have to lose runs until you get powerful enough to win a run. Full stop. I know it's early access, but if you're coming from Vampire Survivors, you'll be disappointed with this one.

Hopefully they keep cooking because it's an interesting concept to the Survivor-like gameplay loop... it's just not quite there yet IMO

it literally doesn't work anymore. all that shows is a black screen with shadowy textures and nothing I do in the settings fixes it. it's unplayable
