This review was written for purely democratic reasons, such as:

it is required for me to claim a Steam Badge.

The game is mighty fine with friends though, play it if it suits your fancy.

I barely started but already know two things.

1) The improvements from SFV are massive
2) I'm gonna suck just as much as the previous iterations

Sometimes you need some certainty in life.

Never have i spent so little and had so much fun. This game has so much content that it would be a steal at triple its base price.

If the simple but addictive gameplay and the large amount of content to unlock isn't enough for you, then all the references and jokes will make up for it.

While the game is still in a somehow sorry states regarding bugs (there are still some gamebreaking bugs and a lot of minor annoyances), the content itself is nothing less than excellent. It follows and improves on the original Wrath of the Righteous adventure path from Paizo, building up a coherent story and managing to one-up the sense of growth from Kingmaker, the devs previous work. The inclusion of a lot more classes and subclasses from the tabletop game, not to mention races, prestige classes, deity choices etc has made this a near-perfect roleplay experience.
Graphical improvements where nice too, with character models being significantly better.

Bugs aside, the only big problem i have with this game is that it's VERY CPU intensive, meaning if you intend to play this on a laptop you must be prepared to see your temps skyrocket.

All in all one of the most complete experiences in recent years for any old school rpg fan.

Supergiant Games challenged themselves when they decided to make an action roguelite, and they succeded.
The feeling of progression in Hades feels real (if a bit grindy sometimes, but then again, what roguelite isn't?)
A variety of weapons, boons and trinkets makes every run feel different, and everything is actually pretty balanced which is a rarity in itself.

As usual with Supergiant, the art, visual style, dialogue and MUSIC are fantastic. Darren Korb proves himself one of the best composers again, the art team made every character feel different and unique... and the amount of work that went into voicing every of the MANY lines of dialogue, i can't even imagine.

All in all, a damn good game and a steal even for the full price of 21 €

Not much to be said about this game. It is almost a 1-to-1 port of the old games, with some minor adjustments here and there. The visual part being redone from scratch it's absolutely the best part about this collection, united to the nostalgia effect for old fans.
As a player old enough to have played the original releases on PS1, i must admit the gameplay didn't age all that well... it's very simple, compared to modern examples of platforming games, but it's fun enough and a good entry level for whoever wants to try 3D platformers.

All things considered a good purchase, although i bought it with a strong discount.

To go in detail about the combat system, the setting, the story or any part of this game would mean to write hundreds of lines, and i'm really not capable of that. But if you like RPGs where the roleplaying part is actually interesting and flashed out, where skills and spells define your playstyle better than a mere class system, and most of all, if you loved the first Original Sin and the Divinity universe in general... this game is for you.

After all the positive reviews this game has gotten since its release, there is little i could add that others haven't already covered. It's a farm simulator? Yes, that, and so much more. There is exploring, social relationships, mining, events, magic and mistery, an entire community center to shape as your character grows and thrives... and so much more.

But above all, this game is relaxing. I started playing it when i was in a situation not too dissimilar than that of the main character: totally absorbed by a work that sapped all my energy, and in dire need of something to take my mind off of it.

And boy, did i relax. Be it the soothing music, or watching your crops grow day by day. Or fish for a couple of hours. I just opened the game when i could, and by the time i was finished, i felt better every time.

As far as i'm concerned, one of the best games i've ever had the pleasure of playing.

As a proud owner of two shibas who in multiple occasion chewed through my underwear, i can say this game is pretty realistic.

10/10 would Saitama Doge again.
