Game itself is solid enough, but the lack content, an infuriating mess of a crafting system and the awful balancing kinda kills it. It's fun for a bit, but after going through the exact same map with the exact same objectives using the exact same weapons because RNGesus saw fit to roll the worst stats for your new weapon for the 10th time, it gets really stale.

Add more maps, weapons, and classes, and stop wasting time on meaningless ♥♥♥♥ like the penance system that nobody gives a ♥♥♥♥ about.

Server issues and forced online ♥♥♥♥ aside, the gameplay is actually really good, better than Payday 2 for sure. Especially stealth has been massively improved, which was sorely lacking (imo) in the previous game.

But I still can't recommend it in its current state, and that's mostly down to the progression. Your level is locked behind completing challenges instead of getting exp from completing heists. This means that once you've done all the heists and start repeating them, you're going to get very little or even no progression at all unless you hunt down specific challenges. Then, to make it even worse, many of them are locked at first, and you need to unlock them. How do you unlock them? Nobody knows, and the game certainly won't tell you. Then to top it all off, many challenges are simply "Get x kills with y weapon". Wanna do a perfect stealth run? Great, you've spent half an hour only to not get any progress cause you haven't killed anyone. Here's your useless sack of money instead that you can't spend on anything cool cause you're not a high enough level yet.

It's like they have no clue what made Payday 2 great and what actually needed improving, cause they went in all the wrong directions in every department other than the gameplay.

Latest update removed a lot of content for no good reason just so they could put it behind their garbage subscription paywall, and broke so many parts of the game as well. Then to make it even worse, they made half of the new content unavailable on PC as well. Absolute joke of a company, and if they ever even release it I'm not even going to buy GTA 6 anymore, they'll just treat it the same as they've treated this game.

This game is worse in almost every way when you compare it to the other games in this reboot trilogy. The story and characters are boring and hard to get invested in, especially Lara. She seems to have no personality or character besides having to fight this generic evil organization and willing to sacrifice everything and everyone to achieve that. (On a side note, here's a fun drinking game: every time Lara says she HAS to do this or she MUST do that, take a shot.) The other characters aren't much better either and whenever someone died I didn't feel anything. Also this game relies way too much on cutscenes, which are way too long and boring to be worth it. You can honestly skip most cutscenes and you won't even miss out on anything important.

The actual gameplay is a mixed bag for me. The platforming and climbing or whatever you call it is better than in the previous 2 games, albeit still way too linear and not challenging (if you don't count the horrible controls). They also added quite a few underwater sections, which I kinda missed in the other games. The combat however is much worse than before (at least compared to ROTTR). Most of the main story you're forced to use either melee or the bow (which is a horrible weapon). There are guns in this game, and there are some sections where you can use them, but for most of the main quest you're locked to only the bow. There even is a long section where you go on a killing spree where you have to kill lots of heavily armored enemies when you can only use melee and the bow. And you can't even pick up the guns from enemies you just killed either, which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

All in all I can't even recommend this game for 30 bucks, let alone 60. I would give at most 20 bucks for this game if I hadn't already bought it.

If you want to buy any of the Civilization games, go for Civ 5 instead of this. It's cheaper and better than this.
Civ 6 does improve on certain things, however it's atrocious in a lot of aspects as well, like AI and diplomacy. You want to trade a spare luxury resource for one of their spare luxury resource so you both gain something for it? Nope, you gotta give them 2 luxury resources, all your gold, a city, your grandmother, and the blood of a virgin, to get one of their luxury resources. Late-game the AI is still running around with warrior units while I already have an arsenal of nukes and tanks. Until they fix a lot of the issues, I wouldn't reccommend this game.
