I've been playing ARPGs for a long time. This sucks as an ARPG.

These are my problems with it:

  • No chest system. Biggest problem in my case. I like to save items I might or not use in the future in some place. This game didn't have that. I ended up using my base to save good gear, by the end I had over 50 items laying around.

  • A lot back-tracking. Get this: the inventory is 10x5. A bit tiny except some items can be 2x4 in size, and as mentioned before, no chest system. So let's say you find 5 items with size 2x4, and then a 2x2 item. You're done, you can't pick up the 2x2 one. You have to go back to your base (for which you have a thing called "hi-techs", which are basically spells; most are good and useful, some don't use your energy), deal with items however you want to deal them (again, no chest system), go back to the quest, rinse and repeat. I think at the fourth or fifth time it happens in the same map, you're allowed to swear at the devs.

  • The combat was very basic and dull at times, with repetitive enemies that only changed colors between the 3 available (because there's 3 different kind of energy-based "attacks"). Never cared for this in games, pass for me.

  • Replayability? I'd say none. If you're patient enough to finish it, you wouldn't want to play it again.

  • Your currency is also your ammo. Whose idea was this? Good lord this was annoying the first few levels, but it didn't bother me since I played most of it using the basic pistols (but got better pistols with time), because it was very cost-effective (rifles and launchers wasted too much energy), so I didn't use that much of energy. For this, I'm giving it a pass, but it's a deal breaker for most.

However, I personally liked the ride with it, I "enjoyed" it. Sure it has flaws, but with all of them, I understand it's from 2005 (1 YEAR LATER THAN HALF-LIFE 2 AND THIS IS WHAT YOU COME UP WITH?!), so it's bound to fall flat in <the current year>. I had never played it then, so playing a +10 year old game from the mid 2000s now for the first time ever was a breath of fresh air.

But I can't recommend it. If what you're looking for is a good classic ARPG, this isn't it.

Good cheats though.

I did not know what to expect coming into this game blind. By the title alone I was expecting scary Amnesia-like game with a Dr. Frankenstein-esque concept, a cursed emerald I'd need to save the world from ending, and obviously a tiger.

Boy was I wrong. It's like Stanley Parable taken to a new level of meta-gaming. And when I saw my bae Justin♥ in the credits (didn't realise it was him)... I didn't know you had those contacts Mr. Pugh. Stanley Parable must've sold well. That's another thing, didn't know it was made by Stanley Parable guy.

TL;DR: It's great. It's free. It's made by Stanley Parable guy. It has Rick and Morty guy in it. Only downside is that it was too short, but you can't ask too much with games like these.

9/10, thanks for the ride.

You're about to enter the town, you leave because it looks like crap. The protagonist Frank makes you go back. Thanks a lot Frank.
You open a beer barrel, can't even drink it. You jump higher if you're near that area though, like it's a trampoline.
You try to climb a ladder. Can't, obviously.
You look at an old cart full of straw, looks smooth.
You talk to the priest, he says "I'm busy". No you're not c u n t, you're just standing there doing nothing in a bleak god-forsaken town.
You find a key behind the church, you try to use it on the church's backdoor but the game doesn't let you because the c u n t priest is near.
You talk to Travis, he says "let me working". Ok immigrant refugee, get on "working" on learning some English, a-hole.
You rub a stone against a tree.
You quit the game.

If I had any gamer reasoning, I'd say you have to go party with Travis and the priest, and get them drunk with beer from the barrel, then while they're drunk and sleeping, you drop them on the cart full of straw Assassin's Creed style, open the church's backdoor, steal some bibles, rub 'em against the tree, solve the Mystery of the Red Tree with the power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dank MLG Jesus saves the day again.

Oh, controls are wonky: one press of the key A, Frank makes a long step to the side; and sensitivity is all over the place, too little is not enough, too much makes you fly around. Pray that you have a mouse with changeable DPI or you're screwed. That is, saying you'll play this for more than 10 minutes.

Don't look at the street light, it's full of bugs.

Giving it a good rating cuz I don't really care about how well some free Unity game rates.

after playing pink hour, pink heaven is just the same but better

two new mechanics are added to the game, but you'll be able to use just one, not both, which makes the game have more replayability

considering it's free, i felt i got what i "paid" for, and more. this game is so, so much more than "just a simple platformer":

  • good gameplay: if you ever die in this game (and you will), you never feel like it's the game's fault, the controls are on point and precise. if you die, it's because you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, and still is very easy to die
  • mechanics: just run and gun. not quite mega man, but still very solid
  • branching paths and different endings: choose well
  • great story: pure fantasy, but still very good

and when you choose hard mode... it's hard

if this game has any cons at all, it would be that it is way too damn short, but it's free. i'll try to get kero blaster if it looks and plays like anything in the pink series

    is very cute tho
