Dave the Diver is one of those games that sneaks up on you. At first glance, it seems like a simple pixel art game about diving and running a sushi restaurant. But before you know it, you're hooked, diving into the mysterious Blue Hole by day, managing your bustling sushi spot by night, and constantly discovering new surprises.

Just when you think you've mastered the mechanics, the game throws something new at you: seahorse racing, underwater farming, or a sudden boss battle with a giant jellyfish. These unexpected twists keep the experience fresh and engaging, ensuring that boredom never sets in.

That said, the main storyline wraps up in about 25–30 hours, which might feel a bit short for some players. Pursuing top-tier results can become monotonous, as it often involves repeating the same strategies. The in-game events, like themed parties, are dictated by the calendar and RNG, limiting player control. It would have been more engaging to have the ability to schedule and customize these events, adding a layer of strategic planning.

Despite these minor drawbacks, Dave the Diver offers a charming and relaxing experience that's hard to put down. The addition of free DLCs, like the DREDGE crossover, is a big positive, and the paid ones generally offer good value; though the Yakuza DLC might not be everyone's cup of tea. Looking ahead, I'm eagerly anticipating the upcoming In the Jungle DLC, set to release in late 2025 .

The Typing of the Dead: Overkill is a fun, chaotic and hilarious twist on the classic rail-shooter formula, replacing gunplay with fast-paced typing challenges. Set in a campy, grindhouse-style world filled with zombies and crude humor, the game tasks players with typing words and phrases to defeat undead hordes.

The game’s standout feature is its unique gameplay mechanic, which makes typing both thrilling and absurdly fun. The grindhouse aesthetic and over-the-top humor add to its charm, offering a self-aware, deliberately cheesy experience. With a variety of modes, including multiplayer and word challenges, there’s plenty to keep players entertained.

On the downside, the humor and dialogue, while intentionally crass, might not appeal to everyone. Some sections of the game feel repetitive, especially as the typing challenges can become predictable over time. Additionally, the visuals, while intentionally retro, may seem dated or lack polish in places.

The Typing of the Dead: Overkill is a fun and unique spin on zombie shooters, perfect for players looking for something offbeat and entertaining.

Great for fans of typing games and over-the-top humor. 7.5/10.

Graveyard Keeper is a quirky, darkly comedic simulation game where players manage a medieval cemetery. It blends resource management, crafting, and exploration with a morbid sense of humor, creating a unique experience that’s part farming sim and part grave-digging adventure.

The game’s charm lies in its setting and tone. Balancing your duties as a graveyard keeper—like burying corpses, maintaining the cemetery, and crafting items—with other activities, such as farming, alchemy, and dungeon-crawling, offers a lot of variety. The pixel-art visuals and whimsical soundtrack complement the dark humor, making even the grimmer tasks oddly enjoyable.

However, Graveyard Keeper can feel grind-heavy, with progression tied to repetitive tasks and time-consuming mechanics. The game offers little guidance, which can frustrate players unfamiliar with its systems. While the narrative is humorous, it doesn’t always feel cohesive, and some side quests can drag on.

Graveyard Keeper is a fun and unique take on the simulation genre, ideal for those who enjoy games like Stardew Valley but want a darker, more unconventional twist.

Worth trying for fans of quirky sims, but patience is key. Loving the art-style tho. 7.5/10.

Metallic Child is a fast-paced, action-packed rogue-like beat 'em up game set in a futuristic world. Players control a robot named Rona, tasked with saving humanity from a rogue AI by fighting through waves of other robots in a high-tech, ever-changing environment.

The game's standout feature is its dynamic combat system, which mixes rapid, fluid action with a variety of weapons and abilities. The character progression system is well-designed, with upgrades that offer new skills and strategies for each run. The futuristic setting and vibrant, anime-inspired visuals create an engaging atmosphere that keeps players hooked.

However, Metallic Child does have some downsides. The repetitive nature of the rogue-like structure can become tiresome over time, especially with its randomized levels and enemy patterns. The story, while intriguing, takes a backseat to the action, leaving some players craving more depth and narrative focus. The difficulty can also feel punishing, especially in the early stages.

Metallic Child is an exciting and visually appealing game for fans of fast-paced action and rogue-likes, though it may not be for those looking for a deep story or a relaxed experience.

A great pick for players who enjoy action-focused rogue-likes, but it might not appeal to everyone and it can get quite repetitive. 7/10.

Curse of the Dead Gods is a fast-paced, roguelike action game that combines challenging combat with exploration and puzzle-solving. Players navigate a series of dangerous temples, fighting through hordes of enemies while seeking treasure and avoiding deadly traps.

The game stands out with its emphasis on combat, offering a variety of weapons, skills, and curses that allow for a wide range of playstyles. The addition of a "curse" system, where players gain both advantages and disadvantages from their choices, adds an extra layer of strategy to each run. The dark, atmospheric art style and the game's challenging difficulty make for an engaging experience that rewards careful planning and precise combat.

On the downside, the roguelike elements, such as permadeath and procedural generation, can feel repetitive after a while. Some players may also find the difficulty spikes frustrating, especially when starting out, as the game doesn’t offer much handholding.

Curse of the Dead Gods is a rewarding game for fans of challenging roguelikes and action combat, offering a unique mix of strategy and skill.

Perfect for those who enjoy tough, rewarding roguelikes with deep combat mechanics and a cool ass atmosphere. 8/10.

Far Cry 4 is an open-world first-person shooter set in the fictional Himalayan region of Kyrat. Players take on the role of Ajay Ghale, who returns to his homeland to scatter his mother’s ashes, only to get swept up in a civil war against the ruthless dictator Pagan Min.

The game excels in providing a massive, beautiful open world filled with diverse landscapes, from snowy mountains to lush jungles. The combat is fluid and varied, allowing players to use a wide range of weapons, vehicles, and even wildlife to tackle objectives. The dynamic world and side missions keep the gameplay engaging, while the story provides a solid backdrop to the chaos.

However, Far Cry 4 doesn’t stray too far from its predecessor, Far Cry 3, with much of the gameplay and mechanics feeling similar. The main story can feel a bit generic at times, and some players may find the repetitive side activities and mission structures to be formulaic. Additionally, Pagan Min, while memorable, doesn’t quite have the same depth as past villains.

Far Cry 4 is a fun and action-packed experience for fans of open-world shooters, but it doesn’t innovate much beyond Far Cry 3.

A great choice for fans of the series, though it might feel too familiar for others and it was for me. Dropped mid game. 7/10.

Indecision is a thought-provoking indie game that blends narrative-driven gameplay with puzzle mechanics. The game focuses on the internal struggle of decision-making, allowing players to experience the emotional conflict and consequences that come with choices. Set in a minimalist environment, the game uses its simple visuals and sound design to create an intimate, reflective atmosphere.

The main draw of Indecision is its emphasis on choices that shape the story, forcing players to confront difficult decisions. The puzzles are clever, often requiring you to consider both logic and emotion. The narrative, while short, is impactful, leaving players with lingering questions about the choices they made and the paths they didn’t take.

On the downside, the game’s relatively short length might leave players wanting more, as it lacks significant replay value. Some may also find the slow pace a bit too meditative, especially if they’re expecting a more fast-paced experience.

Indecision is a unique and introspective experience that will resonate with players who enjoy narrative-focused games and thought-provoking puzzles.

Worth playing if you enjoy emotionally driven, narrative games. 7/10.

Tekken 7 is a fast-paced, highly polished fighting game that continues the legendary series with a focus on intense combat and character depth. The game features a roster of diverse fighters, each with their own unique moves and playstyles, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced players.

The game's visuals are stunning, with detailed character models, smooth animations, and dynamic backgrounds. The addition of the Rage system, which grants powerful abilities when your health is low, adds an exciting layer of strategy to matches. Tekken 7 also boasts a solid online multiplayer experience, with smooth matchmaking and competitive play.

However, Tekken 7 does have some drawbacks. While the gameplay is refined, the single-player content is limited, with a somewhat underwhelming story mode that focuses more on spectacle than depth. Some players may also find the game’s learning curve steep, particularly with advanced techniques and combos.

Tekken 7 is an excellent choice for fans of the fighting game genre, offering fast, rewarding combat and a solid competitive scene.

A must-play for fighting game enthusiasts, though casual players may struggle with its depth. Fun with couch-coop is 100% secured, 8.5/10.

Fallout 4 is an open-world RPG that blends exploration, combat, and crafting in a post-apocalyptic world. Set in the ruins of Boston, the game follows the Sole Survivor as they search for their missing son while navigating the dangers and factions of the Commonwealth.

The game excels in world-building, offering a richly detailed environment filled with secrets, stories, and memorable locations. The crafting and settlement-building systems add depth, allowing players to customize weapons, armor, and even entire communities. The combat is much improved from previous entries, with tighter gunplay and more responsive controls.

However, Fallout 4 has its flaws. The dialogue system feels simplified compared to earlier games, limiting player choice and role-playing depth. The story, while serviceable, doesn’t reach the emotional highs of its predecessors. Additionally, bugs and performance issues, a hallmark of Bethesda titles, can disrupt the experience.

Fallout 4 is a solid entry in the franchise, offering a fun sandbox for exploration and crafting, though it leans more toward action than traditional RPG elements.

A great choice for fans of open-world games, but it may not satisfy those seeking deep storytelling. Definetly not on par with its predecessor... 7.5/10.

Infectonator 3: Apocalypse is a strategy simulation game that puts players in the role of a mad scientist trying to infect the world with a zombie virus. It’s a quirky, pixel-art experience that blends humor with chaotic gameplay.

The game shines with its addictive mechanics, letting players unleash and evolve zombies while managing resources to spread the infection strategically. The pixel-art visuals and dark humor add charm, with plenty of references and jokes to keep things lighthearted. Customizing zombie types and experimenting with different mutations make the gameplay engaging and varied.

On the downside, the game can feel repetitive after a while, as the core loop doesn’t evolve significantly. The difficulty spikes can also be frustrating, and some RNG elements may leave players feeling unfairly punished or rewarded.

Infectonator 3: Apocalypse offers a fun and chaotic experience for fans of lighthearted strategy games. It’s not overly deep, but it’s entertaining for short bursts.

Great for casual players and fans of quirky simulation games. A must play for those who played the first chapters on FlashGames.com. 8/10[b/](nostalgia bias kicking in).
