Not sure what they've done with the gameplay since the last time I've played this series (FIFA 23), but damn does it feel terrible. Players are slow, can't control the ball to save their lives, and in general, pretty much everything about it feels clunky, as if I'm playing in mud, and not on a state-of-the-art football pitch.

It's not much better on the optimization front, either: frequent framedrops, graphical glitches, and the game freezing for a few moments while playing a match, are just some of the things that I've encountered in just a few hours of play.

Career mode - the one thing I'm actually interested in - has been improved in a few ways. The youth academy being fleshed out is probably the biggest one. However, they managed to ruin it by giving generated players faces that resemble goblins more than actual humans. I guess, I shouldn't really be surprised, since it's EA that's responsible for the development. Oh well.

To summarize, paying full price for this game is akin to flushing your money down the toilet. Only get it once it's 90% off, or better yet - play one of the older FIFA or PES games. That way, at least, you won't be subjected to the absolute slog that is the gameplay in FC25.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is my favorite series of games of all time. I’m not sure what kept me from playing through the trilogy sooner, but I’m glad I eventually came around to it.

The story, side quest content, and character development of your companions are still amazing all these years later, even compared to some of the more recent AAA releases. I think the companion loyalty missions in Mass Effect 2 stand out the most. That being said each game has many great moments that make it worth sticking through for. This is even more impactful if you play the games chronologically and import your character from one game to the next as some decisions you make in the first game will impact your experience in the second and even the third installment. This can vary from minor differences to major plot points.

Though obviously, the trilogy isn’t perfect. The combat, especially in ME1, can feel a bit outdated and annoying (the Mako sections come to mind), and the “one-button-does-everything” mechanic in the third game is frustrating as hell. Just let me sprint around and not pull me to every wall I run across like a magnet damnit!

The quest log in ME3 is also a headache. Why do the missions not disappear off it if I can no longer complete them? And why is it more difficult to find out what you’re actually supposed to do or who to talk to concerning a quest? The first two games had the journal nailed down, so the change in ME3 seems inexplicable and pointless.

Finally, the ending of ME3 wasn’t all that great, but since pretty much everyone has complained about it already, I won’t elaborate too much. I just wish the choices you make throughout the three games could impact the ending in a more significant way as well as offer a more satisfying conclusion.

Again, all these criticisms don’t take away from the overall amazing experience that is the Mass Effect trilogy. And hell, if you don’t like something, you can bet there are mods to fix it - everything from textures and lighting to story and romance.

It’s also great that the Legendary Edition goes on sale quite often. I myself got it for €6, and can confidently say that those were the best €6 I’ve ever spent.

The new hair strand technology seems to clog up 90% of my CPU. Good one, EA.

Also, it's incredible how they keep making the gameplay worse and worse with each update.

Despite all of the issues plaguing the game at the time of this review, Cyberpunk 2077 is still a very enjoyable game at its core, with the obvious strong point being the main storyline. Having just completed it for the first time, I'm sure that I'll do it over again with different choices. As for the gameplay - it's decent. Could obviously be better (I'm not a big fan of bullet-spongy enemies and the driving is pretty sub-par) but it's good enough to not break the immersion of the story. Lastly, there are still quite a few bugs at the time of this review and the performance, especially in Night City, is wildly inconsistent, so if you have a weaker rig, consider holding off for now. Anyway, I'm sure CDPR will fix these performance-related issues and I can't wait to see what the upcoming expansions are going to bring to the game.
