Very humorous game that reflects on the current affairs of the United States. It breaks the fourth wall at some points but it can easily be forgiven since it's intended to be funny.

I've played this game on Steam for 200 hours then I moved to the non-steam version cos' the Steam updating system for this game is crap.

Alright so from personal experience,I've played for 1200 hours plus,no joke about it. The game is pretty enjoyable during the beginning. But as you progress and become more powerful, you will find yourself licking the boots of the higher level players.

Yes and need I not mention? This really happened to me,I was still fairly new and I was curious what will happen if I vote myself in the parish. So I tried that and true enough,I became steward. Then I went to bed, next morning I woke up,I was razed and they dude who did so sent me a message saying that I'm not supposed to take away the parish from him.

So apparently politics is a crucial game mechanic here. Do something the big boys don't like and they will come after you, lick the big boys' boots and they won't touch you;that's how it goes. And now the worst possible thing that could happen here is that assuming you never got razed for your entire game time and you have about 6 big villages (all bought, not captured) then some dude thinks it's funny to raze/capture everything you have and then you are forced start over again.

I got razed entirely out of this game for 4 times because of some small mistakes and I did and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who thought it was going to be funny to destroy everything I had. And the thing that we all absolutely hate is the fact that we get no compensation for the loss of our villages. I mean,we should at least get cards or something to get back on track. It can be really frustrating for somebody to replenish his villages after what he took months to achieve.

I mean I got razed about 6 times and each time I learn my lesson and stuff. I'm now a steward of 7 parishes and all my villages are full-blown size. Why? Because I loved this game so much that I was willing to take up the duty of rebuilding again.

After playing for several months, you begin to realize that it's really really bland and you still find yourself licking the boots of the big boys. Not to mention this game is all about MONEY! YES I SAID IT MONEY! YOU CAN NEVER WIN IN THIS GAME AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER UNLESS YOU SPEND SOME MOOLAH ON IT. AND EVEN IF YOU DID SPEND SOME MOOLAH ON THE GAME,YOU MAY STILL FACE THE CHANCE OF SOMEBODY RESETTING YOUR PROGRESS AGAIN.

My best advice, play this game for awhile,it can be quite fun and mind-boggling for the beginner part..but once you reach mid-level I suggest you quit the game and uninstall it for good. There's no way in hell you can ever be the top dog in this game. Not to mention, the premium token thing is pure crap.

It's pretty entertaining and a very good concept. Looks beautiful on the Source Engine as well. I op't for this game's sequel.
