1/3 first- or third-person puzzle game
1/3 intro to philosophy course
1/3 spiritual experience

This is easily one of the best games I've played in years; it completely blew me away. Not since Portal have I been this enamored with a first-person puzzle game. I'd even go one step further and claim that it was better than the Portal games. Yes... it's that good.

I was not prepared for just how beautiful the game is. It is readily apparent that every square inch of the world was painstakingly crafted to give us the best experience possible. From Medieval ruins, to sprawling desert, to towering cathederals -- The Talos Principle is guaranteed to make you stare at your screen in awe at least once.

If you like first-person puzzle games, play The Talos Principle.
If you like puzzle games with more narrative than usual, play The Talos Principle.
If you love finding in-game secrets, play The Talos Principle.
Play The Talos Principle.

The story is just as engaging and emotional as it should be. The visuals and art are completely unmatched for a game of this type. The music... oh, god, the music; you'll find yourself just sitting and listening to the main menu music. I wouldn't say this game is underrated. Almost everybody that plays it thinks seems to think it is wonderful, but I do think that not enough people know about this game and will overlook it. Do yourself a favor and don't be a part of the latter group.
