By no means an arcade game, but definitely one of the best WW2 simulators for air combat on the market!

I've played this franchise since I was a kid and have grown up with classics like IL-2 1946 (2006). For a 2014 game however, this one is a must-have for any sim player or even piloting fanatic.

Games like these also have their own respective communities where weekly training and mission nights are held. ACG, the group I'm a part of, is again one of the prime groups to look out for if you plan on taking your experience with this game to another level.

I'd highly suggest waiting for sales to appear before you buy any additional content, as £94 and £52 for the Clash at Porohovka and Battle of Normandy DLCs respectively are a little pricey, even for me. But by any stretch of the imagination, do they impress - especially with the recent merger with Rise of Flight in the form of the Flying Circus packs, another classic from the mid 2000s.

If you want to play this as a bit of fun, this game is fully customisable to your realism needs or desires. And can quite easily be a laid-back chill simulator like ETS2 and BeamNG are to their respective audiences.

Even if you know nothing or have no interest in its genre, I highly implore you to give it a try!
