Yes, i post a review for a porn game in my main account, who cares

Anyways, the review:
I am a big fan of Stardew Valley, and i wanted a farming game. I am also a big fan of breeding mechanics in games where you take care of creatures (pokemon, or genetic mods for rimworld come to mind). Personally, i don't care too much about the porn in the porn game. I wanted to see a game where porn was an extra feature hidden behind npc questlines. I was hoping this game would be somewhat closer to this

And this game was doing things well! until it introduced combat. Not because of combat itself, but because the moment i began doing combat, i began getting bombarded with porn scenes in a tab, for no reason. Characters that, mind you, i met less than an hour ago.

I was hoping for a game that would take things slow and not just bombard me with porn, this was not it. Also, it has the "too much ♥♥♥♥ on screen" syndrome all over the place.
It feels like one of those games that are hard to get into but once you get into they become fun. Still, not for me. It is not what i was expecting, but I can see how it can appeal other people. I'll recommend it, the game is clearly well polished, so far the highest quality porn game I've seen, the aesthetic is pleasing, combat is good an interesting, i just feel like it needs to be slower. Don't throw characters and features at the player so quickly.

I'll just stick to Stardew Valley, maybe install some adult mods...

So, if you plant exactly 1 cauliflower, 1 potato and 1 green bean alongside as many parsnips as you can, then sell all but 1 parsnip and plant potatoes with the money made, you'll be able to easily buy 20 strawberry seeds by the 13th. Cauliflowers take 12 days to grow, you begin the game on the 1st so they'll be done by the 13th. You need 1 cauliflower, 1 green bean, 1 potato and 1 parsnip to complete the spring farming bundle, which rewards 20 speed-gro. Speed-gro allows 1 extra harvest of strawberries if they're planted on the 13th (aka when you purchase them). This raises your gold profits from 2944 gold to 5415. This is not counting farming levels or tiller profession, and assumes you're selling them raw. And if you can keep some strawberries to transform into seeds once for spring year 2, then each seed with a basic speed-gro will give you a profit of 756 gold (again, not counting farming levels, professions or transforming the strawberries into artisan goods).

Yes this game is supposedly relaxing. Its not. Prepare the spreedsheets for some high-octane farming and NPC stalking

8/10, absolutely great! there are a few things which could be improved like:
1- let me inspect my own monsters mid-battle. Both gear and talents.
2- let me use my keyboard to write
3- dont make me guess which monsters get affected by each catalyst. Just highlight them while i have my catalyst selected
4- better explain to the player in the tutorial that there's an attack action that consumes no mana. I got stuck and had to google that
5- similar to point 3, once i unlock shift stones just show me the two possible shift abilities for each monster in the talent tree

beyond point 4, you can get around the entire game without needing to go online, and i suggest you do so! things only get a bit confusing after you've beaten the big bad evil guy.

The game is fun, but a bit confusing. Perhaps terraria got me used to a few things i shouldn't expect everywhere, but here are some of my grips that i hope the devs adress.
1- loot feels a bit irrelevant. I'm talking about the bajillion flavors of swords you're bound to get, especially the ones you can't recicle. Also i've come to appreciate the limited inventory space, it rewards organizing your base with chests and stuff.
2- how do villagers work? i've basically got told to "put them to work", which you can do by talking to them after rescuing them. However besides the guardian, i have no clue how to make them do things for me.
3- I tried to put a ghost i've captured in a rune of transformation to become a ghost myself, but it wouldn't let me. It's ok if its for balance reasons or because i have X thing i need to do beforehand, however there's no indicator. The game will just not let me put the ghost in the transformation table with no reason as to why.
4- I think the game should put a bit more enfasis on diversity on the player skills. I've heard on an update the devs are working on classes, however that update looks more like gear rather than skill. I don't like that there's only 2 upgrades for running and 2 upgrades for jumping either.
5- the game just stopped giving me quests and any direction whatsoever. I understand that the appeal of these games tends to be to explore, however pretty much all enemies i've encountered seem fairly weak and/or don't give me anything new. I've only yet to do the forest dungeon which i'll do next, hopefully that one will unlock more stuff. I wish there was a bit of a generalized direction, kinda like "A powerful enemy awaits in the mystical forest" sort of thingy.
6- Soul trapping feels a bit unexplained too. More specifically, what increases or decreases the chances of capturing a specific enemy. Does health matter? why do i have to keep chucking the crystal until they get captured? why do some enemies seem impossible to capture?
7- Worms in particular feel super weird. They attack once and then they disappear.
8- The seeds feel AWFUL to use. It's really hard to throw them with precision. Just let us place them manually on top of blocks.

Additionally, i think the game could really use something like a smart selector like terraria has (pressing shift while over a resource will automatically select an appropiate tool. So for the ground a pickaxe, for trees an axe) and also i still don't get why they added the slower speed while running backwards. It just makes it annoying while moving around.

Finally i think more attention to the sound design would be good. There's a reason why worms in terraria have a distinct distance-based noise, otherwise they seem completely random.

Anyways, all of that said, i'd say the game is pretty good. Some innovative mechanics, but it needs refining. I think i'll put one or two more hours and see how it goes.

I really hope this game becomes the new big thing, the concept is amazing. It's still a bit rough, but definetly playable for an early access

its a good game with bad voice acting for 50% of the dialog, and they clearly tried to do many things that are a bit wack.

The combat: 10/10, ala X-com. Best 4x combat on the market. At least ground combat, sea combat is wack but sea stuff isn't very expanded on.

Macros of combat (aka how much do you have to plan beforehand for war): 3/10. Basically you just rush for doomstacks or extremely efficient cheap units, but i've found you never really update your army to what the enemy is doing.

Economy: 4/10. Basically your cities follow 4 types: food farm, cash farm, science farm, or unit spewing machine. There arent many building variations. The only 2 resources you'll feel a lack off if you play it right are influence and cosmite. You can get both the same way: either some specific capital city buildings, or for the most part world features that you'll own if you own the sector they're in. You can also trade cosmite and energy (aka gold) with other players.

AI: as far as NPCs goes, aka minor factions and wild spawners, they behave pretty well. And as far as AI players goes, they're reasonably good. unlike in CIV, if one of them declares a late game war, you can expect them to send a LOT of units your way.

Also, combat AI is pretty decent.

Overall, a much more combat-oriented 4X, but it lacks on the macro economics of the 4X franchise.
