This is what Return for Monkey Island should have been!

Great game already, extremely polished for a small-team indie title. Space Age is coming soonish it seems, but the variety of content that is already in the game makes this worth a buy.

If you like City Building and liked the idea of Spore (but maybe not the game itself), this is a game for you!

Clearly a very dedicated team is behind this game - it has a lot in common with similar farm/crafting games like Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley, but it goes the extra-step of including a lot of quality of life improvements, like automation and helpers to speed things up and give you more free time to do other activities in the game.

And that game has a lot of activities: from the general farming and crafting in the workshop, which is the core mechanic and means of progression, to dungeon diving with (a tad unpolished) but simple rpg mechanics, to a surprisingly deep friendship system, there is a lot to do! You like fishing? Game got you covered as well.

Overall, despite the sometimes still quite unpolished parts of the game, it is a clear recommendation from me and also my personal game of the year.
