I just want to thank the dev for making what I've wanted from a driving game for some time. Which is a very simple, well-optimized, non-system-demanding, highly customizable game, with HD era Grand Theft Auto-esque driving, and nice maps where I can cruise in a second generation Toyota Supra to my favorite song by R.E.M, "Turn You Inside-Out."

Not to mention PolyZen Drive is very well-priced for what you get (currently $5). Kudos for having a demo also. In its current state getting this is a no-brainer if you want the type of chill experience you get from something like Euro Truck Simulator without the management aspect.

I'm not much of a review-posting person but I feel a little obligated to blog my take when it's so against the grain.

I definitely appreciate the colorful visuals and colorful writing. In terms of RPG mechanics however, the game lacks much of what it sells in its trailers. There is far too much predefinition and linearity. I feel as though most optimal and fun builds lead to a Malkavian run of sorts. There is a Boring "Copotype" (one of the ways Disco Elysium kind of does classes) you can become, but at least in the early game you really seem to be steered away from this playstyle. Eccentricity can be cool but I also like variety.

Outside of the game, the drama with the developers and producers is very confusing and seems more complicated than most Steam reviews might have you believe as of summer 2023 and this puts me off.

On a final note, the music is too sleepy. The tranquility of it mostly works for the extreme amount of reading but more jolts of intensity here and there would be welcome.
