Fun take on a tower defense. Regular updates are great for keeping things fresh.

I won't say much about the "controversy" surrounding the game except a brief recommendation to those who are incensed, and feel the need to virtue signal, to be careful they don't become as vile as what they claim to hate. Targeting innocent streamers and/or other individuals....ESPECIALLY from non English speaking locales, is some ripe BS. That said onto the important stuff.....

This game is a breath of fresh air in a time of creative bankruptcy from most studios. I loved Harry Potter at one time....that love turned into a lost love for a time with the Magical Beasts franchise.....but this game brought back much of what I loved about the books. I am really happy to have a full game from an IP that I have wanted to see brought to life for many years. I have mostly played on PS5 but I bought it for PC also just cause I wanted to see what it was like with an unlocked POV.

PROS - The graphics run very solidly even on high settings on my 3070. I can even play on my old gaming laptop with a 1060M with no lag albeit on a low graphics setting. I feel like this game plays best with a gamepad; that said, the keyboard/mouse setup is not at all bad. The story is engaging and flows from the moment the game starts.

CONS - The game isn't perfect. There are some problems with long distance load in and sudden framerate drops for no particular reason. Opening doors (thus changing areas) occasionally causes a 1-2 second freeze. That really is about it, as far as I can tell, for real negatives.

TL/DR
Don't let anyone else tell you what you can or can't play and likewise don't be the guy/girl/they/them/cat/alien/dog who tries to tell others what to do either. The game is good, buy it if you like solid games with decent stories that aren't trying to milk you for every $0.99 they can.

Best deckbuilder since slay the spire. I play most of these games to one degree or other and this is the first in a long time that has kept my attention so well.

4x t its best. I love this game and have since the origional came out. Been playing this off and on for years and don't regret a minute of it. One of the easier 4x games to wrap your head around.
