They already changed the way progression unlocks, took them a week. Certainly better than a 7/10 game even with that issue. Game is fun and has hours of content, good for single player or co-op. Controller or keyboard. It's a gem.

I really respect the decision to go back and change what was originally offered in this DLC to make it line up more with the asking price. For that reason I am changing my thumbs down to a thumbs up.

I am 11/10 frustrated with this game. Refused to load saves to change my decisions or rolls but still loading saves constantly just trying to get the game to behave. Trying to use stealth is super janky, especially outside turn-based mode. So many times I have had conversations that start because you walk into a certain area or within proximity to a certain NPC and the person they start talking to is not the person I have currently selected, leading the group with (usually I want them to talk to my custom character and instead they talk to whichever party member is 'closest' to them). I have even had it happen once where it was a loading zone door, the only way to change who the conversation started with was to leave everyone on the other side of the loading zone and only enter the door with my custom character. . .

Also a guard can stop you from doing an 'illegal' action like pulling a lever from the other side of a portcullis and you can't just pull it in his sight for a negative hit or whatever. . . even if you are locked inside and that is the only way out for your party. I had to use a mage hand and a bunch of other jank to make the guard look away as well as all the animals because any creature seeing you breaks your stealth until I finally made a small pocket that someone could hide in close enough to the portcullis to open it while hidden. . .

I had other issues like this that I wouldn't describe as bugs but I feel like these are enough for the review.

Basically all my problems wouldn't exist if this was a real game of DnD and there was a human DM. Plus trying to roleplay and control a party of 4-7 people is not great but the game doesn't really differentiate the main character except for not letting you leave them behind at camp and in conversations within the confines of the party but otherwise any other character can take the lead with anything in the world but can't switch after a conversation/action is started (leading into my earlier issue about the wrong person leading conversation).

I love the game when it works but looking at my save vs. my hours played on steam a full 1/3 of my time has been spent reloading trying to make this kind of jank work properly because I have been using stealth the whole playthrough. Very frustrating.

Spent an hour trying to get past the first mini-boss/elite enemy. . . I may not have beaten games like Enter The Gungeon or the Binding of Issac but I can at least make some progress, beat some bosses, unlock some stuff. This game starts you off at a difficulty that is way to high for learning how to play. Just frustrating and rage inducing, attacks that feel like there is no possible way to avoid them right off the bat.

I bought this at the same time as Double Dragon Gaiden, another arcade style game. Liking that a lot more, actually able to play the game and it's fun instead of frustrating.

Not as bad as people made it out to be. Runs smooth, on foot missions are a fun change of pace. Got it 65% off but I would have paid more if I had known I would like it this much.

Super good, fun to use. Just like tabletop the guns are less accurate with more shots. You have enough units to build different army types, maybe 3 deff dreads to max out their bonus when standing near another deff dread, big meks to repair and other vehicles to make a mek army, or you could go pure bad moons and get a bunch of flash gitz and boyz with big shootas and lootas and just have a frontline of grotz holding everything at optimum shoota range. It's just unfortunate you only have one clan so the bonus focuses on ranged combat (as Bad Moons should).

You can play them in all the randomized gamemodes, skirmish, planetary supremacy and demonic incursion. I used the default armies in skirmish to figure out how the units work in battle. Then I jumped into planetary supremacy which basically requires you to work with what you have and use non-upgraded low tier units, which also helps me learn how they play/synergize and now I feel like I have a good handle on how they work. Lots of possibility for different builds.

Looks great but it makes me extremely motion sick, I couldn't handle 30min. I tried changing the settings, FOV, head-bob, screenshake, retro pixel filter, etc. . nothing helped. It hit me worse than VR Chat with an Oculus Rift.

has timed side quests that don't tell you are timed and no saves to go back on so you need to start the entire game over if you want to 100%
