Regarding the fact that the AI is appearently cheating and no matter how good you drive - you will automatically start losing if you win too often - the Developer in a recent video said 'The AI was done like in Chess'. (!!!) Not only is it extremely funny and I cannot stop rofling over this - also it is to be seen more as a unique feature than a fault with the game. Who would have thought? It can be so simple! Just a Chess-like AI in a Driving Game. Checkmate!! However... taking technical problems, missing features and optimization into account it is still a solid 6.5/10 for the open world and the overall driving experience. (I did not encounter any connection problems.)

Yes, this works very nicely on Windows 10 classic non-Aero. Some improvements over Version 1 - Interface is more nice and clean + some colour options. Dark Mode is saved for all the groups - perfect! Groupy is very much needed here - especially for the Office + Work PCs - otherwise its a total window mess where every open window is hidden by another which is quite horrible. This way everything can be tabbed together like in a Browser. Nobody knows why this isn't a standard Windows Function - so that's where Stardock comes in! It was nearly half the price for Groupy 1 owners for a limited time (until December 2023). Very good!

Implementing some stupid real-life regulations is obviously more important than making a game for the player...

Since the engine limit was introduced with the November '17 update you can no longer drive faster than 80 kmh. driving on the highway-autobahn has become very slow and boring instead of challenging and fun. the fact that this speed limiter can not be turned off is a major letdown.

instead of driving on the left lane trying to outrun the AI cars you are now bound to the right lane at 80kmh max and get overtaken even by AI busses all the time which imo is dumb, boring and even frustrating ...pressing the gas pedal no longer helps.

according to the law regulations troxytronxynix is trying to simulate here, the trucks are completely restrained in their power while AI busses/coaches are allowed to go much faster.

however, I would really like to enjoy the full power the trucks technically have to offer and the challenge to master the physics and test my driving skills - without any artificial limitations. tronxytoxmirnix could easily give the option to turn the limiter off - like it was before the update and like any other game would do it.

So, now the driving experience is indeed very limited. be it realistic or not .. the restrained versions of the machines are nowhere near enjoyable and my playstyle of driving a bit faster than 'allowed' is no longer supported.

Therefore this review can only be: Overwhelmingly Negative.

I can say that I really like the launcher. Having the steam window free for other things and still be able to launch games comfortably. great tool imo and good support. thx!
