The detailed environment in DOS is amazing! It's clear that lots of love and dedication went into all the details. From moss on crumbling walls to reflection on the water there is much to take in. In fact, the environment is absolutely vital to gameplay, but more on that later. Different areas in the world look quite unique with different weather zones that all affect your character with onsets of buffs and debuffs according to the situation. Shadows are casted nicely with flashy spells and the ability to zoom in or out. However the game i snot al about graphics and some point ssuch as the sutomization were a little lack luster and dissapointing.

Most of my time was spent in the city, interacting with characters, and going on quests. This is a non-linear game, with open world aspects. As this is a tatical turn based game alot of time and patience is also needed in combat. The combat mechanics are fluid enough to avoid being clunky but in turn require some patience and waiting for cast animations etc. The ideas though were nice in ways as you could use the environmental aspects to your advantage which fighting. I quite enjoyed the realism that came with the spells as it is able to set the other party on fire regardless of alliance which makes logical sense unlike some games. Overall, a nice game to wind down and relax with which enjoying the RPG areas.
Recommended.
