i loved the forest so much so i had such high hopes for this game but i dont understand why bother wasting time making another game just to abandon it just like the first game. this game is nowhere near ready for full release and i see they abandoned it when it barely has any extra stuff compared to the first one. so so much potential for such a beautiful game but you guys just refuse to add content to it to make it replayable. if you wanted to just make a story game with no replayability then do that but labeling it as a survival game where the only thing you can do in it is build your base with BARELY any decor items is just sad. could add special encounters, mini events, animal taming, conquer a cannibal base, literally unlimited ideas for content in this game so it can become a proper game you actually want to keep playing with ur friends especially since you decided to make such a big map and yet nothing. you realeased it and then sprinkled some fake updates of content that was already a thing in the first game but didnt come with this one at launch just to make it seem like youre working on it which is pathetic. if even your loyal content creators/youtubers stopped playing your game so fast even though they played the forest for years and years after the last update then you know you did something wrong. been a fan since early alpha of the forest but its just super disappointing. the devs really dont seem to care to listen to their player base or even build some sort of community or connect with their players, or receive feedback. your website is dead and hasnt been updated since the last update of the forest, no sign of sons of the forest on it and same for your other social media accounts. just a waste of a good game that seems to be in the wrong hands

Ive discovered this game literally yesterday and i instantly became obsessed, playing and watching gameplay of it all day. I see it came out very recent and also its a free game so not expecting super much but im hoping more content is gonna come soon because as it stands right now i dont think the game has enough content to be a "roguelike" type of game where you cant save and just die forever and make a new run each time, especially since its kinda short, but i get thats what makes it so addicting. Im hoping they will add a co-op mode in the future but what id really love to see from this game is a "freeplay/creative/endless/adventure" or however you wanna call it mode where you can just save, have a lil hp bar where you die in 2-3 hits instead of one and actually play a farming game maybe with some farm customizations, decorations, maybe a map expansion, and still keep the monsters coming, kinda like dont starve together does because i love the art style, especially the main character (even though some aspects like the trees and rocks that are literally just circles on the ground are really throwing me off, hope they get a redesign or something in the future), but i get its not that type of game. The new nightmare mode is also very cool and a nice addition for the people who probably played so much that they got too good at the game to have fun with it anymore. Looking forward for more updates and props to who made this game because i think its so cute and has so much potential and its so fun so thank you for making it free but if it gets more content in the future i do think its the type of game thats worth paying for.

its a fun game to have in the background while youre doing other things but no point playing it on steam since they refuse to update it, just get it on phone
