Game's amazing, bit tough for beginners, but the house rules option gives you customization when it comes to how you wanna play, if you want a tough as ♥♥♥♥ experience, you can make it, or if u want a chiller experience where you can farm enemies a bit more and slowly increase your stats, then you can do that too.

The game is good, stupidly hard at first but thats just about what you can expect from the risk of rain experience. Only negative thing is the combat, which feels clunky at times. Huntress feels particularly good due to her "auto aim"

Ive played most of ubisofts games since far cry 3 in 2012, whether that be multiplayer games like for honor or siege, or single player experiences like AC, FC, Ghost Recon etc. I want to like this game, i have around 150 hours in its predecessor, even though i found odyssey quite bland at times, i still liked the combat and the sandboxy nature in which you could use your abilities in, thats it, thats the one fun thing these rpg style ac's have, they give you a massive sandbox to mess around in, and ive spent tens of hours in those sandboxes. This game continues that trend, and makes it worse. In odyssey you can use upgrade points to unlock abilities, aswell as make them better, this game takes a different approach to the whole idea, it makes you explore to find new abilities. While that in itself isnt bad, it makes the "skill tree" useless. So as not to remove it, ubisoft fills it with useless unlockables that just pad your stats, stuff like "+2.3 melee damage", "+4.6 ranged damage" and so on. There are a few major skills inbetween those, but you are often forced to commit to a single branch that leads to those major skills, without knowing which major skill youre getting, it could be something as useful as "stomp", which lets you basically execute grounded enemies, or as useless as "Auto-Loot". This isnt the only flaw with this game though, the biggest offender for me has to be the crashes, they are very frequent, i tried getting into this game, but after hour 20, every consecutive hour the game would crash and id have to boot it up again, which takes a long time if you dont have this game on an SSD. If you get past the slog, and unlock the abilities you want for your "build", this game can be fun, theres a lot of messing around to be had, although its often spoiled by the terrible performance and frequent crashes that you will experience. Its maybe worth it for 15 bucks.

Very fun unique take on fighting games, has a very strong modding community that keeps coming out with new innovative characters, totally worth the asking price if youre into sandboxy create your own fight style games
