Just because I like anime doesn't mean I'm a weeb.

In my life I've met far too many people who make baseless assumptions on my or my friends' personalities after finding out we love anime. Every once in a while we do like to hurl some engrish around while having fun, but we don't shove our hobbies down other people's throats (thats what our ♥♥♥♥♥ are for), and we don't idolize japan like it's some Shangri-la. Rather, we grew up watching anime, so it seems natural that we would adapt some of the characteristics of the anime we love oh so much and apply them to our lives.

What I'm trying to say here is that yes, I love anime, and yes, every once in a while I act a bit stupid as my passion overtakes me. However, that alone does not make me a weeb, and if it does, then I would make the argument that being a weeb is a good thing. At least we have something to be passionate about.
