After playing through my first 4 hours and exploring the first Biome, this game is amazing and feels as good as many AA and AAA "well-polished" and "full release" games. I will be sinking many more hours into this game as it feels "fresh".

As far as the type of game goes; I have not seen a roguelite hit this yet. It scratches the dark souls genre, while hitting the roguelite progression, while hitting the DOOM speed, but for some reason has a Elder Scrolls open world feel/art style ,although it's a linear progression. The "biomes" are massive and you can freely explore them.

Lastly, I have not seen many early access games with this active of a developer on reddit and large updates. There are already been multiple QoL improvements and content added in just the first 7 months of being out.

Its a 10/10 (After only 4 hours) for me - primarily because it hits many of my favorite genres and the art style is beautiful.

After completing the Early Access content through the castle (what is available), I am left excited and eager to continue to play more. With it being early access, the game does get buggy the longer you play for some reason, but the game play is fresh. It takes a few times to get a good build going to take on the later content (castle), but it is very gratifying once you do. I greatly look forward to the future of this game and home it continues to do well! Another thing I hope for is recipes at some point that you can learn/pickup, because there is a lot of loot I end up selling because I do not think it serves a purpose (yet). With the current state of the game, I would give it a 7.5-8/10. I believe this number could go up once they fine tune a few things and add more content. Also, the game is a bit pricey for having the ability to complete it (whats available) in such a short time frame. I am all for supporting the developers though!
