Pity. But I can't recoment this game. I thought it could beat Civilization monarchy, but it's much weaker.
Howevere, I love many game design ideas and cultural mechanic, variaety of civilizations and interesting fights, it have more minuses for me:
* Game engine makes picture weak, sometimes slow with many units on a map and character looks unapilying.
* End game and lack of iteraction between nations makes experience sometimes dull.
* Religion or not working, or I don't understand how it must works.
* I love idea of random events, but if there are not so many random events, after several games this feature just losing any interest and become automatic clicking.
* I would love to see more how my nation changing depending of my cultural choices. This idea aren't fully open, but good that this feature exist.
* I want more masculinity in my game, as an example of your audience.

Можу лише похлопати і порадуватись, як якісно зроблена цифровізація настолки! Зустрічав пару багів, але вони невпливали на гру, а взагалі, я дуже задоволений :)

Not interested in those repeateble flat levels. Love previous games, but not this.

Love your games. but this - not realy. Quite frustraitive and monotonous.
Turn Base realization would fit beter fot this game, IMHO.

THE WORST CALL OF DUTY OF ALL TIME

- Why I need to load HUB and shaders for HUB (lol what?) just to click Campaign and then the game closes and reopens?
- Why I need to scroll 4-5 times just to click play? Where are your User Experience Department?
- Why you ask me after each update how I can open Battle Pass? I even didn't play multiplayer, what the point of Battle Pass for me?
- Why I need to restart the game after each update? Can you name at least one game that force user to relaunch the game for update in 2022?
- Why you have so many flags, but don't even have Ukrainan flag? Is it so hard to make it? It's offensive to see russian flag and full localization but no evidance of Ukraine in the game?
- Why you don't have text localization for Ukraine but full localization for russians? It's offensive, I bought you games from Call of Duty United Offensive, but you don't care about me and my country.
- Why graphics looks so grainy?
- Why gameplay feels like so much degraded in compare to Cold War? How is it possible? One step forward, to step back?
- Gameplay and story feels worse comparing to old Modern Warfare II

I feel just robbed. I got worse product than previouse games for price large than previous games. Where is logic? Am I paying for Warzone 2, in which I don't interest and it will be free soon?
You really need to change your engine, maybe on Unreal Engine 5, because this is dead one, it can't even stay near nowadays games. Did you heard about RTX and DLSS, can your engine support those technologies? I don't see it.

With your abilities, people, money, map, cars, etc you could even create GTA or FarCry in a Call of Duty style, but you stick to the old formula and old engine and charg price hier than game that looks and feels much better than this. CoD Cold War was revolution in a shooter genre, but this...this is a dead zombie.

Last Total War I was playing was Total War: Rome remaster (or Rome II or Troy). Except hero units didn't see anything new. Don't understand why I should buy a new game of the franchise if it looks and feels like previous games.

And of course, they create some monster of Frankenstein combining Kievan Rus (KIslEV, blue&yellow faction colour, fighters against barbarian horde) with Moscowia (Yuriy Barkov, ice queen definitely from russian tales, bears). So tired to see how developers combine different cultures into one without respecting them and their history. Especially now in 2022-2023...

Lost a lot of features from previous games (customisation of the city, guarded tresures on the map (AoE III), diferent sea resources, etc.)
Really small nation pack (only 8 or smth like this)
Bugs (if you playing with keyboard language other from Eng, you won't be able to play)
No Diplomacy (but it was in AoE II & III, now you can't play in a non aggressive way)
Poor customization (there is non, even for profile you can only choose from 8 colors, why you can't give us the whole palette?)
Disrespective historical mistakes (why you putted Golden Gate and Kremlin in one faction? Do you undertand difference between ukraninans and russian, especially now? If you used Rus' as Russian ancesters - they was called Moscovia, if for slovens - then it was called Kievan Rus. It's even written on english Wikipedia, why you haven't check this? it soo easy)

I played hundreds of hours in AoE II & III, but this is just a degradation.

IN SHORT: It's like AoE II, with nicer graphics and better distinction between nations, but with lesser features and capabilities. You can even enjoy this game if it's your first AoE game. But I just hate it, unfortunately.
