First off: this is definitely a game made for a controller. As someone who played via keyboard and mouse, the mechanics of movement were very frustrating...enough to make me stop playing until I get a controller to play.
Besides that, this game is incredible and I loved playing it. The ability to develop, adapt, learn, and teach was very interesting to watch. To see what could potentially have been the way in which our ancestors evolved. I was learning alongside the character, making sure not to go near that dang boar again unless I could defend myself; to accurately go from tree to tree without falling; to nurturing the next generation safely.
A very fascinating game that I will replay once I remember to buy myself a dang controller!

I really enjoyed this game. The identifying, labelling, and catergorising really scratched the organising itch in my brain. The storyline was fascinating with multiple endings depending on your choices, and it was just challenging enough to make me really think on some of the options.

This takes your standard, monotonous point-and-click adventure and tells it how much of a weak-ass punk it is, rolls it up into a ball, and dunks it into a bin.
Oh my you will enjoy this game.

You will need to remember a few things (which means writing stuff down IRL) but it does keep diary entries, newspapers, and letters for later reading.

I cannot recommend this enough.
So I shall just tell you to buy it..BUY IT NOW!!

I've had this game since the very beginning. I have come back and played it many times over the years. Its always been a brilliant game. Not just for its unique visual effects but also for the overall gameplay. It didn't have a storyline to it at the start. You just had to survive. And that alone was great.

When I found out they were releasing a story I was so excited. They did a fantastic job connecting the original game to the new story.

To the devs making this; I am glad you stuck to your guns and stayed a small company rather than going big and losing that "home-grown" feeling that I have appreciated over the years. Thank you

Holy dooley, this game is great.

Putting the beautifully haunting imagery aside, the gameplay is smooth and succinct; as any point-and-click adventure should be. This game tells the tale of a person being taken away to be imprisoned in a horrific castle for all eternity. However by chance, fate, or their own cleverness, they are given a means to escape, all the while being directed into choices that will allow them to seek redemption or to be as sinful as the events that brought them here.

All in all this is a brilliant game. Props to the staff behind this, they did a brilliant job making it something more that just your stereotypical point-and-click game.

For anyone considering buying this I say go for it. You will not be disappointed

NOTE: I played this game offline for about 6 hours, just going by in a leisurely pace (It says I've only only played 7 minutes online)

A brilliant game, with very unique way to travel from place to place. The storyline has great potential to be engaging and exciting.

This is a game that will always be close to my heart as I have played it since I was a kid. The campaigns are long with a rich storyline. Each time you move up an age you have your choice of 2 God/esses that each have their own speciality.

An oldie but a goodie!

This is definitely a game that should be played as co-op. I mean playing by yourself is still pretty cool but it is really fun to play with others as the game has such a casual, chilled vibe to it in the way the characters interact with NPCs and visa versa.
