I recommend this game. Picked it up a few months ago, I never used to play indie games, this is something that Steam is helping me getting used to.
About Bastion; to describe it in a short sentence: "Wonderful piece of art".
Don't be fooled by its cartoony style: its beautiful soundtrack and its distictive voice acting add depth and help you to discover the story. Gameplay mechanichs aren't hard to master, there is enough variety to fit different play styles.
I just beat it for the first time, and apparently there is some replayability through special modes which will be experiencing shortly.

Great story. Good character development. Nice music.

Feels good. It's my daily dose of violence. The soundtrack puts you in the mood. After some hours I'm feeling like I want to enter a disco and beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of everyone with pipes and knives.

Great atmosphere and back story. You can definitely feel it has some Stephen King vibe
