Generally, it's a decent game. A game has to be entertaining for me to pick it back up after it has failed to grip me in the tutorial segment, especially if I then continue to play it for another 53 hours.

Story:
Not spoiling anything, even though there's not much to spoil. Don't expect any advanced plot twists or anything, I definitely wouldn't buy this game for the story. The characters are fine to listen to but also very trope-y, you got your old annoyed lady, a charismatic optimistic daredevil and a shy introverted scientist. Nothing you haven't heard before. I really wish they'd have made more about the plot because at the end I literally felt nothing about it.

Gameplay:
Pretty decent and kinda addictive. Maintaining your car is nice and the game itself has a decent loop for it. There's many options to make this game more accessible, even though none of these options really make sense to you unless you play the game for a few hours. At the start of it I changed some things I thought were good, but at the end, for a rogue like game, I only failed like two or so runs. It was more of a breeze to play through. Towards the end, driving through the same old junctions and layouts was getting kinda boring, even if it was randomized to a degree.
The tutorial is (as I said) relatively long and the game "runs" themselves are also relatively long, which is why I didn't pick this game up again for several weeks. I didn't wanna commit to something where I can't exit a run within 30 mins or so. Expect to spend anything between 45 to 60 mins per run.
Overall the gameplay itself is the strongest selling point of this game, if maintaining your car, foraging for supplies and driving through a wasteland/exclusion zone is your kinda deal. Not for people with motion sickness, though.

Graphics/Performance:
Game was running okay, I was playing on 1440p with a Vega 64, a 5800X and 32 GB RAM and had everything between 50-85 fps on medium settings. I wish the game would be running better, especially given that the artstyle is kinda simplistic.
Graphics themselves are fine and atmospheric, although it really felt like the focus was on the darker sections of the game, I rarely got to play during "daytime". With my settings the aliasing with the jagged edges was noticeable, but I got accustomed to it.

Overall:
Buy this game if you enjoy driving in a wasteland and foraging and exploring, don't buy it for the story. Overall a well made game that I spent a good enough time in it. I'd wait for a sale, but its def worth the time. Unless you want some big story to come out of this, which, uh, rather don't buy this game.

A week ago I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and the doctors have given me a year at best. I'm so glad I was able to play this masterpiece before I go. I don't know how many people will see this; but I recommend to you to buy this game if you do see it. Gameplay, atmosphere, graphics. everything is masterfully crafted. If you read it, thank you and good bye.

Trying to throw a golden bomb at a ghost three times as it appeared and it never got registered. Having to abort the hunt as I am out of money to buy another golden bomb. Yeah, I can do without.

For 11 bucks its a great game. That is, if you have friends to play it with.
Only nitpick I'd have is that after a while there's really not much you can do ingame and you tend to just rush ghosts until you've discovered what they are. But given how little dev horsepower is behind this project I don't wanna be too harsh. Every hour I had was at least enjoyable, even when playing on the Beta.
Get it if you enjoy playing scary games with your friends, its more than worth it!

You know, a free game is a free game. And the monetization is not that bad for one, so, thats a good one.
But I can't even recommend it as a free game.
The mechanics are really not that well fleshed out. You feel that it is quite janky.
It's hard to find different people to play with in your own region, and even then, its quite possible that you will encounter random kills, random accusations and the like. As long as you don't have a pre-made 6 player squad (and trust me, you don't want to have at least one randomly queued player with you because it really makes less fun) you shouldn't play this. Spend your time on something better.

I would really want to recommend it, buuut...

I can't, really.

As a strong fan of the Danganronpa Franchise I was looking forward to this one, looking for a deep and enriching story, like I always got from the DR Team, DR2 has to be one of my favorite games I ever played.

The Danganronpa games kinda lived from the character development, the suspense when a murder is going to happen, the storys of the characters and sometimes even from the murder solving, at least in my opinion.

This one has... none of that, really.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't expect a sequel to Danganronpa, it's right there in the description that it's a dungeon crawler RPG survival-esque experience, but that combination is clearly not this teams strong suit and it's obvious.

There's two main elements of this game: The preparation on the main island and the dungeon crawling in the various dungeons offered. I'm so as far as what I believe to be the halfway point. And since I last played it, I haven't really had the interest to pick it up since.
The dungeon crawling and fighting mechanics itself are kinda weird, espescially with all that inventory management going on. One of the main gimmicks of the game - the aging and somewhat "age management" mechanic is unique, but really also not it's strong suit. During main chapters of the game the characters get set to predetermined stages of their life. I get that that is somewhat necessary for the plot inbetween the chapters to work, but basically it works out to waiting several days on the hub island until someone dies to revive them, just so you don't have to have them die during dungeon level transitions.
It takes some time to get used to the mechanics and its a relatively slow burn, I mean, I'm used to it from Danganronpa given their lengthy prologues and character introductions, but it kinda doesn't work here. It's an amalgamation of so many mechanics bundled into it, that none of them feel perfectly balanced, espescially given that the difficulty settings you are given kinda are really punishing if you want to have a challenge but are somewhat too easy if you want the story.
Then there's the puzzles. And oh boi, these puzzles. At one point it was reaally frustrating because you had to do very specific things in order to progress. There was a localization problem that basically made it impossible to know what they were hinting at, unless you were playing in japanese. And that was really not enjoyable.

So, and now onto the story. Remember how I said story was the strongpoint of the former Danganronpa games? Yeah, they kinda don't work out here.
I'm not gonna spoil anything major here, so you can read the following spoiler if you like. But it still is somewhat a spoiler, even if its kinda obvious. Every one of the 8 characters represents one of the 7 deadly sins plus the ominous "original sin". And so far, all that I've seen doesn't really grasp the gravity of the sins attributed to the characters? It really doesn't feel like each one of these sins is really that strong to begin with. The story and the character development of the several characters just feels bland. There's nothing gripping me or really making me root for them. And the main plot is kinda bad as well.

My only takeaway from this is that this was one of the last experimental projects the original DR team worked on, before they left and started their own studio and it kinda shows. There's a lot going on mechanically and story wise and nothing really good or gripping. And considering I payed full price upon launch, I kinda feel burned by that.

So even if you really are a fan of Danganronpa, I still cannot recommend this game to you, unless you get it in a heavy sale and don't mind the janky game mechanics.

It's a good game, even though it's really short and besides the main gameplay there is little to deviate from besides random challenges. Also, it kinda sucks how there is no "Endgame" to surviving long enough, besides just daily raider attacks.
But for 1 € thats okay.
