Maybe I am wrong about it since this is my first ever monster hunter game, but I found it to be fun and easy to get into and I had a fun time getting the rope of things. Still have a lot to learn but nothing feels unfair or missing to me.

feels like its the lovechild of terraria and stardew. if you like either, you will like this.

It gives me inner peace to just do tasks everyday.

It has calamity and its music.
what more can I say.

an almost 200 hour review from someone who played this game nonstop when younger, and has put in a lot of time and thought into this game;

Its great for a nostalgia fix but I think most people forgot how grind worthy and time consuming leveling everyone is.

Hackers and bug abusers are plenty and sadly they will keep being so.

I do not understand any of the reviews saying this game is pay to win; especially not when the end game gear (aka the best gear you can achieve in this game) can be obtained purely by grinding for it and paying with money only makes it a bit faster to obtain / gives small minor buffs to your stats. This is, still, in no a way a pay to win game.

It is true, as the game is now, not all the characters and every pve content is unlocked; but seeing as they are slowly adding them the time will come where we will have the entire roster, as well as all the maps. Just takes patience.

So, should you play this game?
imo, yes. If you enjoyed it back then, then you will again now. Surely, people just have to remove their nostalgia goggles and realize that this is IN FACT the same game still, but they seem to have forgotten what it was like. (yes, I am also aware there are stat changes and missing skills + gacha armors are completely gone and a lot of coordis are missing - but otherwise, its the exact same game and there really shouldn't be any complaints about this)
Surely, just as it was back then, after a while someone will get bored of this game. This is natural.

Just try and play it anyways, enjoy it when you can.
