Early Access Review
The game seems to have more content than first Hades on release, but it is a mess. It is enjoyable, but I have many things to compare.
-A third of my runs end to bugs that shut down some mechanics for some reason(like not being able to move or use Omega Attacks).
-Characters don't seem as deep as in first release and the story didn't pull me in that much.
-Character design is tragic, gods look like a niche 80s trash metal band, massive downgrade from H1. That's just disrespectful to the ancient greek culture.
-Game is unnecesarily grindy. There's plenty of material to collect, but you can only carry one tool in your magic bag for no reason at all. I'd rather it be less material, but you can collect it all.
-Main character is a witch, but the only real "magic" is building stuff through a reskinned contractor. New weapons that also feel like reskinned H1 weapons with a slight change to attack combo and a new attack that often doesn't work.
-A lot of mechanics as for now are clearly untested by QA and released for players to pay for being able to do their work for them.
-Absolutely no balance in the encounters at all. You either have 20 rooms in a row that you go without losing health, or back to back room full of armoured enemies spawning around you in a tiny oceanus room.

Some positives:
-Familiars are gonna be a fun system
-Music is still good
-In term of graphics it is looking better

If someone is looking at this before buying:
2/10 wait for it to be released, so far seems like a cheap reskin with a bit better graphics

One of my favourite games. It's really the one where you wish you could play it for the first time again. Starts as a funny perspective game, ends with you having an existential crisis. Can recommend to everyone(unless you have epilepsy), doesn't matter if you're looking for a good puzzle game or a psychological horror.

Most of community is gonna get blocked from playing because they decided to suddenly require you to make an account in a data selling website and connect it to your steam.

EDIT: I'm sorry for giving possibly false information. There is no hard proof that Sony sells data. They just keep getting the data stolen all the time because the idea of data security is unknown to them. The data still is being sold but most likely they're not the ones getting the profits.

The things done well in this game don't outweigh the absolute state that Blizzard's marketing tactic is.
Bought it on the big december sale, still feel like I massively overpayed. Honestly I would rather buy again all previous Diablos again than this.

Let's start with things I liked:
-Music: Very good
-Cinematics: As always, amazing. Blizzard has way too good animators than what they deserve.
-Voice acting: It was good
-Skill and paragon tree(except the fact that you have to pay to experiment with different builds)
-Graphics and how fighting feels

Now the horrible parts:
-The setting of Diablo world doesn't fit the MMO game type. It was always hero/group of heroes against the demons. Now it's you, the hero and maybe some friends in your party. And that random guy instantly killing everything in his sight who just went into the dungeon that has a boss you're supposed to kill. Clearly marketing team took over and the only reason it is an "MMO" is to sell skins. For example 70$ horse skin. Don't you guys have wallets?
-Campaign: This is a follow up to previous parts. 4th Diablo game. It takes place 50 years after the end of Diablo 3 where we played as Nephilims, that just disappeared once day for no reason at all I guess. Now you're on to new adventure! This time however you don't get to meet any of old characters(except Lorath who I guess kinda counts for being in DLC of Diablo 3). Played through 3 acts before I decided to give up on it for some time, but more about it later. In this time I found absolutely 0(zero)(as in non at all) characters that I could care about or feel any sort of sympathy. I feel like campaign is supposed to be skipped and forgotten about, just go to post campaign mode, see more players(buy skins, show them cool 50$ skins!)
-Season pass. There were(and still are) season in Diablo 3. Extremely similiar to those in Diablo 4 in fact, almost an absolute copy. But the difference is that you could do most of the seasonal challenges in campaign mode(and I like going through campaign as a slow start into season sometimes). Here you can SEE ON THE MAP zones that have special enemies and special resources(like the current vampire season zone), but you won't get any drops till you finish the campaign. It's locked so that you're forced to play in the even more MMO part that is adventure mode. So that's one of the reasons I skipped the campaign. I paid for the version with a season pass simply because there wasn't a big price difference when it was on sale and I wanted to experience the season I paid for before it was too late.
-You're punished for wanting to experiment with build. You need to pay for every point you want to change(and it scales with level)
-Extremely grindy. Usually that's not a bad thing, that's what I come for to this type of games. But it's just boring. You have like 4 different dungeons which always look the same. Drop rate feels like it's on a on/off switch. You either get 10 unique gear pieces in 5mins or none in 10h. Leveling to 100 level takes around 100h apparently. I decided to stop at 85. It was way too grindy and I finished the paid season pass so I just don't feel like playing this anymore. Maybe I'll finish the campaign or just go back to D2 or D3.
-World bosses: Cool thing on paper, absolutely garbage mechanic when it comes to actually playing this game. On lower World Tiers you can consider yourself lucky if you find 4 other people to also do the BIG SUPER WORLD BOSS WITH EXTREME LOOT. And maybe you'll succeed. On Tier 3 there are always people waiting and doing it withing 1-2 min. World tier 4 you don't even see the boss. Some lvl 100 character just nukes it, you collect the scrap and realize that after all this leveling and trying to get to the hard part of the game, it doesn't matter. All you get is disappointment from not being able to test your equipment against a difficult enemy and some items you're just gonna smelt without much thought because it's just worse. It's better to do a dungeon in 2mins than going to the world boss.
-Always online: Simply because I don't like being forced to see others in this franchise. I'd rather experience it alone for the first time.
-Pointless events. At every other step you can encounter an event that looks exactly as the one you just finished(and got almost nothing out of it). Map is pretty big, but it just feels empty once you finish all 15 strongholds. Especially after you get the horse. You just ignore most of the game to quickly move past enemies to the next place, do a thing you went there for, repeat.

Overall quick summary:
If you love Diablo, have great memories of playing D1-D3 as a kid/adult DON'T BUY THIS. It's just not worth seeing with your own eyes that the world you loved is now being sacrificed on the altar of "give us more money".

If you don't care about Diablo and just want to have some grindy game then I guess you can give it a shot if it's on a massive discount. If not just play PoE or watch paint dry.

10/10 after 20 years I can finally explore Hogwarts in great quality.
As a bonus, the game takes place before Hague Conventions and long before Treaty of Versailles so technically you don't commit any war crimes
