This game sucks... because vampires, get it?... Anyone?

*Crickets*

Yeah I am not the first to make that joke. And I am definitely not about to be "that guy" who pours 200 hours into a game and then gives it a negative review just because I can't beat the giant Toad boss and can't find anyone to play with. Those are all skill issues/personal problems. This game is gorgeous, fun, and pulls me in practically every day. 10/10 would suck again.

Loved organizing Cats and Doggos neatly. Am greatly enjoying organizing Borbs neatly as well. A lovely game for any collection!

Having been a fan of this series for a quarter century and waiting on this remaster for what feels like a lifetime, I can tell you that this is in fact a project handled with love and attention to fan feedback. On a technical level, it runs like a dream (although the lack of graphics options is disappointing, hopefully in a patch). The remastered graphics look excellent, load times are nonexistent (which is a staple of the series in the first place), and the inclusion of a photo mode and one-button graphics toggle is excellent. Absolutely will be needing photo mode in Soul Reaver 2 especially.

Can't wait to continue my adventure and discover my fate. I bet it's amazing, right? Nothing bad's gonna happen to me, right? Nahhh couldn't be me. Couldn't possibly.

Really really fun! Definitely the long-lost sequel to Battle for Bikini Bottom. The costumes are a ton of fun, the writing is brilliant, the music's great, and the gameplay is tight. A rare bug here and there but nothing game-breaking or that, at worst, can't be fixed by jumping back to the last checkpoint. Runs really well and doesn't need a powerful PC to play at all. Plus Clancy Brown is actually here as Mr. Krabs! The whole cast is here and really gives it their all. This one is really worth playing, loved it from beginning to end.

The pendulum swings both ways. I love this game. Super Earth stands tall in its defense of Managed Democracy. Hell hath no fury like Helldivers scorned.

There are few games I would describe as "whimsical" and this is one of them. Everything about Potions is nicely put-together, from the lighthearted story to the visuals and especially the music. The gameplay is a lot of fun if you enjoy collecting random bits and bobs around the world to experiment with crafting recipes. Everything else like the puzzles and combat very much plays second string to the game's namesake, the Potions themselves, which are incredibly rewarding to cook up and discover. Overall this a high quality labor of love and a whimsical adventure that is very much worth checking out. The demo covers the first chapter and a bit of the game, so I recommend checking that out first, and if you like it, absolutely buy the full thing! The game and everything it offers really starts to branch out from there, so I'm looking forward to seeing where the adventure goes next.

A solid recreation of one of the best indie games of all time. It's the game you know and love with updates graphics and soundtrack. The difficulty ramps way up after the first 20 levels or so, but you'll keep finding yourself dodging blocks, buildings, rafters, and lasers IRL looking to eek out just a couple extra thousand points. This game is immersive beyond anything else, even without a VR headset. Every level is a thrilling drop from beginning to end, and it plays like you always hoped AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! would.

Now as others have said, it's not perfect. I miss the little bits of narrative before each stage, the trippy cubic level select screen, the funny joke levels, the clear UI for wave vs. flip (seriously sometimes I get the sound for a hand gesture and can't see the rafter through all the other details, so half the time I just have to guess) and some of the sound effects lack the punch the original had (like the point planes not being smashing glass anymore). Also yes, the options menu leaves a lot to be desired, and lack of controller support probably means Steam Deck won't be perfect (although I am excited to see how it plays with the thumb pad).

If you enjoyed "A Reckless Disregard for Gravity," and/or "For the Awesome," or you're in the market for a very high octane and thrilling score attack experience, then you absolutely should pick up Remastered. For the price of admission, you get 200 levels of an amazing indie game that controls great, looks great, sounds incredible, and is just a blast to play. Just stop reading and get this one in your collection, like, right now. Go.

This game is adorable! The single player mode is a low-key Metroidvania with just a small handful of abilities, but a really fun story with cute visuals and great music. If you ask me, though, the Co-Op is where Pikuniku really shines, and "Remote Play Together" works perfectly. The need for actual cooperation to solve the puzzles, with some minor competitive moments, and plenty of fun trolling with being able to kick each other, makes for the best time. I only wish there were more Co-Op levels, but there is a competitive "Baskick" mode as well which if you're into the idea of kicking watermelons into basketball hoops should at least help you solve some disputes with your friends. Overall an excellent game that is well worth your time!

As a huge fan of the original Desktop Dungeons, it feels great to dive back in with a brand new art style, quality of life features, dynamic music, and God knows what else. It's been a while so I can't really compare too much between the two versions, but needless to say, if you haven't played the original, yeah you're missing out, but pick up Rewind. It's gorgeous and fun and challenging!

Steam Deck: The game runs A-ok on Steam Deck. Full framerate, resolution, no glaring errors to speak of. That said, it's not fully optimized for controller, so you'll have to use the trackpad or touchscreen for a lot of what you need. Takes a little getting used to but isn't too bad overall. I'd put it somewhere in between Playable and Verified.

Still a better love story than Twilight.
