One of my favorites. Robust. Great story and gameplay and everything really. Even the side quests are good.

- Gunplay is way better
- Perks and other RP stuff are wayyyyyy dumbed down
- Mod pack thankfully fixes dialogue wheel nonsense
- Crafting system is dope
- Straight up can’t live without the quickloot menu
- Settlement building is cool too. The whole “rebuilding the world” vibe is super dope. Do wish there was more interaction between settlers and recreational stuff like pool tables.
- Don’t really like how they portrayed the major factions tbh
- Insanely annoying radio announcer
- The addition of synths was cool
- Good companions so far. Like piper and nick.
- Sparse checkpoints make constantly hitting f5 a chore
- Exploring Kellogg’s Memories was pretty cool
- Holotapes are a great addition. Better than reading endless logs on top of endless logs.
- I def couldn’t play without console commands, Nick gets lost way too easy
- I highkey don’t ♥♥♥♥ with the BoS. They’re racist towards mutants, even if the mutants are bad, the racism is a bruh moment. Their luddite thing is cringe too. I admire their command structure in the wake of the apocalypse, but they are not it.
- The animations are all awesome. Having a proper running animation is beautiful.
- Upgrading SPECIAL with perk points is a great addition too
- Don’t like how you can’t wait without sitting
- Radiation reducing max health is a good mechanic
- Eliminating the Karma system might make it the GOAT tbh. Removing reputation was dumb though.
- I like that VATS is a slowmo targeting system rather than freezing time now
- You can finally freeroam after the main quest, which is expected these days
- The radio music kinda sucks except for the ink spots songs. At least there’s the classical station.
- Great power armor customization
- Not locking you out of terminals completely after failing to hack is a good addition
- Not a fan of how the speech system always has a chance to fail, and changes randomly. If you have the skill, you should be able to pass the speech check.
- Legendary Effects on weapons is an awesome addition. Reminds me of enchantments from Skyrim, but in a perfectly “Fallout” kind of way!
- Really like the contrast between Mechs and Synths that’s present in the game, and how different robots and mechs are between actual synthetic humans.
- Wish they kept item durability from New Vegas
- I find myself remaining wholly dissatisfied with the ending. I wanted to defeat the institute and stop them from basically enslaving the synths they created, but man, nuking them was scuffed. Wish there was some way to depose their leader and then reform the institute into something good with the backing of one of the major factions, or multiple. Basically exterminating synths and how they are created is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the luddite vibe with it is bad too.
- Fantastic Gameplay, Exploration, and Environment. Very Mediocre Story
- Wish Nuka World had more depth with the anti-raider ending. Wish you could do more with the formerly enslaved traders and stuff.

Gonna say 9/10.

I had an insanely good time with this. I’m really glad I did a vanilla+ kind of modded build. The NCR run was fun, did my classic build, with guns and Boone and Rex. Wish I didn’t have to genocide the BoS, but you make mistakes i guess, and they kinda suck anyways. I also wish preparations against fighting the Legion were longer, the main quest just felt like it was cut short.

DLC Rankings:
-Lonesome Road
-Dead Money
-Honest Hearts
-Old World Blues

I thought Honest Hearts was fun. Wasn’t a huge fan of Dead Money when I first played it, but I really, really did like the story. Some of the new mechanics and the survival horror elements were a bit hit or miss, though. Old World Blues was really boring to me, especially given how heavy the subject of Dead Money was, right before. Lonesome Road was def the goat. ED-E was a dope companion. I liked the world quite a lot too. The order I went through the DLCs was good. Made a lot of sense.

Viva New Vegas was def the way to play it. It fixed a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stuff in the original game, just quality of life stuff. I wish the DLC quest delay stuff with the radios would pace the DLC better. Maybe having it pop into your quest log at certain levels. I think it would have been a better experience if i played the DLCs kinda interspersed within the main story, rather than clumped up at the end.

I absolutely love this game. However, the newest update has really sh!t the bed. The UI is atrocious and makes it really hard to want to keep playing this game. Crytek loves shooting themselves in the foot constantly.

Play the tutorial first, its a really cool game. They took neoliberal (neocolonial) foreign monetary policy and gamified it. For only a few bucks, it's certainly worth picking up.

Early Access Review
Not horrible, but not really good. A lot of really cool mechanics are in the game, such as free placement of barricades, traps, items, etc. Lots of fun crafting recipes too and lots of fun survivalist stuff in general. I like how you can really loot a lot of different ♥♥♥♥ in the game. Unfortunately, the melee combat kind of sucks big time, and the zombie AI isn’t very good either. The game doesn’t run super well either, but not terrible. I think this game would have been much, much better as a singleplayer experience, rather than another half-assed multiplayer survival game. Just lacks a lot of depth.

Pretty disappointing for a game that's had nearly a decade of development time, or nearly a decade since their kickstarter at least.

Fun Gunplay, but the AI is still garbage and progression is a bit too fast. Wait for a sale like 30 bucks
