Very much the game for me. I love puzzle-solving. I love being fed mysterious tidbits of storyline as I progress. I love the peace and quiet, and the ability for you to take your time and soak in the world and its challenges.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere in this game, especially the first 3 chapters. I maybe felt slightly disappointed with how short the game was, though.

I need Celeste-style B- and C-sides right this instant. More climbing challenges please!

I'm absolute trash and have only won twice but the game has so much replayability and the amount of relics and cards to try and combine is awesome.

I definitely enjoyed playing this game, although probably not as much as some of the other reviews seem to have.

The story was certainly interesting but I think the whole point of it was a little lost on me, and I finished the game feeling pretty unsatisfied.

Glad I bought it on sale, because I'm not sure I would've been happy paying £14.99 for this.

Oh also, some of the mouse controls very really weird and super low sensitivity for me, which made it very frustrating to play and interact with at times.

It's good! I wanted to compare MEC to the original Mirror's Edge game but I honestly haven't played it recently enough to remember what it was like.
All I can say is that the movement is just as good as the first game, if not slightly better thanks to (I think) a few more mechanics that weren't present before. The switch to an open world also works really well, and the City of Glass is great fun to move around in, especially once you begin to discover different routes and learn to move really around it.

I will say that I think the mission system is a little clunky. It felt a little bit like this to me:
- finish mission
- run to a hideout/safehouse to talk to person about the next mission
- run to the next mission
- start the mission
- repeat

Given that Faith talks to these same characters over comms in other parts of the game, I think a lot of the "pointless" running to the next mission could be skipped and make things flow a little better.

But overall, I thought MEC was a really good game, and I'm even considering trying to 100% it. There's a lot of stuff hidden around the city to be collection and discovered, as well as time trials and deliveries which are all good fun to complete.

It's just such a good game. Yes it's old, yes the graphics look a little outdated, and yes it's buggy and hasn't been updated since it was first released, but TrackMania will always have a special place in my heart.

It's free. Just give it a try.

This game is the successor to the TM2 series, which I never personally played. The graphics are a godsend, and it's certainly a nice upgrade from TMU which I play(ed) quite a lot.

There is a nice long single-player campaign that should be fun to grind through, however I dislike how you have to play through every single environment so you can start on the next set of maps. For instance, Canyon is my favourite environment, and I really don't like any of the other maps, but I have to play through all of them so I can move onto the next set of Canyon maps.

There isn't a lot happening in the way of multiplayer too...the servers are now hosted my Nadeo, so there's less customisability to them. I doubt the multiplayer/eSports scene will ever get as big as it did for TMU or TM2 because of the difficulty in setting the matches up, and we probably won't see larger scale servers like 'The Loveshack' run by FAB team any time soon.

Controls are easy enough to pick up, but I'd definitely recommend using a controller as it makes everything 10x easier in my opinion.

I haven't tried the local multiplayer yet, but the Double Driver mode sounds fun, and having some mates over to try out the 4-player splitscreen would be awesome. I'll probably try and find some friends first and then update this review with my thoughts.

To be honest, I'd recommend buying this game in a sale, as it's definitely got replayability and an enjoyment factor. I don't think it's worth £30 though, as the lack of severs and apparently small user-base let it down a bit. Anything under £20 and I'd say 'get it now'.

But yeah, let's go with a solid 7/10.

This game is absolutely incredible! I have never played a single game in my life that has managed to captivate me as much as Rocket League. The premise of the game is simple and easy to pick up but difficult to master; just what I look for in a game.

Definitely worth buying. You will have hours of fun and you'll keep telling yourself: 'Just five more minutes...'

11/10
