Homeworld is my all time favorite game. I couldn't wait when I heard it had a new life.

The remastered version is excellent and worthy of a purchase. It needs some polish, that the first patch has already gone a long way towards seeing out. The only major gripe I have is the complete lack of the formation feature from HW1. Strike craft do not operate as they should, and act like they do in HW2 which is the engine Remastered is built from.

All other aspects are top notch. Mod support, amazing graphics, staying true to the tone, sound and look of the originals. I really hope this is a new start for the Homeworld universe.

Wow. This game blows city builders out of the water. Huge amount of features/content. Silky smooth, both in gameplay and features. Workshop is already kicked into high gear, built into the menu, and supports height maps for bringing in real world locations. Plays great in so many aspects, traffic is a joy to deal with. If the latest Simcity didn't already look like crap, this game definitively places it in that category.

Made by a small team, and they certainly deserve your purchase if you are even slightly intrigued by this type of game.
